Gut Rumbles

July 22, 2005

'splain it to me, lucy!

I've read some blogs that I really don't like. I just wipe my ass of them and never go back. You won't find them on my blogroll and you won't find ME in their comments, either.

But I evidently have a considerable readership comprised of people who HATE MY GUTS and make it a point to visit every day, just to tell me how disgusting, purile, ignorant, juvenile, boring and offensive my blog is.

I LOVE an appreciative audience.

Masters of the skin flute they are.

Most 'acidman haters' are almost comical in their ignorance; keep up the good work, we all need a good laugh now and again!!

I do not suffer fools. I'll ban in a heartbeat. Life's too short.

I just like being able to feel superior. I get so few chances elsewhere. Everytime I log on to you I am a shining star in civility, humility, modesty and intelligence.

Simple really.

As Bane sez, life's too short.

I don't know why people would read the work of someone they did not respect and whose writing they did not enjoy. Just to lob turds from the Commenteria sounds like a juvenile form of amusement to me.

Remember that ol' Hollywood dictum - "there's no such thing as bad publicity"? Well, to me there is such a thing as a bad commenter. Healthy discussion is good, but if you come here to bitch and moan all the time, why should Rob put up with you?

And why should we?

Rob attracts trolls because he has strong opinions. And opinions are like assholes: everybody has one, and everybody else's stinks. But if you don't like the smell, then why you hangin' around, bwah?

As we used to say in the old days, 'fuck'em all but save six for the pall bearers'. See Chablis - ya done good!

Maybe people don't HATE YOUR GUTS at all?

And I don't believe you LOVE an appreciative audience, I think you Love adversity.

If you want me to stay away, simply ask.

Face it A-man, your "blog" --just a word that is literally shorthand for "boring;" a vulgar, overused word that strikes our ears with the dull thud of a cudgel to the soft spot of a cat.

It's an abbreviation used by journalism drop outs like you to give legitimacy to shallow opinions that seems to be permanently stuck in first draft hell.

Looking in the archives of the blog, one would expect someone who has been at it for years to slowly hone their craft and improve their writing since it's usually safe to assume that if someone does something long enough, he or she will eventually not suck at it.

But, even with lowered expectations, we get a shotgun blast of disappointment in our faces day after day.

Anybody can be a blogger: It's a handle used to describe anyone with enough time or narcissism to document every tedious bit of minutia filling their uneventful lives.

Possibly the most annoying thing about bloggers is the sense of self-importance they get after even the most modest of publicity.

Sometimes it takes as little as a referral on a more popular blogger's website to set the lesser blogger's ego into orbit.

Then God forbid a blogger gets mentioned on Instapundit!

If you thought it was impossible for a certain blogger to get more pious than he was, wait until you see the shit storm of self-righteous save-the-world bullshit after that kind of mention.

All of a sudden the self-important dork want's to start charging for bandwidth from his commenters.

"Let us be thankful for the fools. For without them, there would be noone to feel superior to."

Even your post about trolls attracted some trolls.
Ain't they fun!!

I don't always like what A-Man has to say, but I still like "real" people not afraid to be straight with you.

I don't know if he likes or dislikes me or my website, but I don't really care, either.... and I think A-Man wouldn't respect me if I did care.

I'd drink a beer with him even if he is a fucking asshole. ;-)
