your tax dollars at work

Here's a good question: "Why does a corporation that made $2.4 billion in profit need another $200 million from American taxpayers to cover a loss they've absorbed in that same year?"

Because trent lott wants it, that's why. No wonder he's sick and tired of Porkbusters looking over his shoulder. The man is a serial looter who doesn't want his activities exposed. Republican, my aching ass.

Then, there's this: "Congress has a rather narrow view of profit in a free-market society. When ExxonMobil makes 10.7% profit, they decry the "windfall profit" of a corporation. When Northrup Grumman makes 7.1%, they qualify for a bailout."

Take pride. Those are YOUR tax dollars at work.

George W. Bush bought the Presidency by promising the oil, banking, pharmaceutical, defense, and healthcare industries that if they contributed massive amounts of money to his campaigns, he would reward them with paybacks of tax breaks and record breaking profit opportunities through his GOP controlled, lobbyist favored legislative agendas when he got in power. But his paybacks to big business have caused the average American to suffer as a result from high gas prices, bankruptcy laws that only favor the wealthy, higher interest rates, outrageous health care costs, expensive prescription drugs for the elderly, and huge deficits to be paid by future generations of taxpayers. Bush has done nothing but create a huge mess that won't be cleaned up anytime soon.
