November 28, 2005I'm backI was released from Willingway today. I look and feel a lot better than I did when I checked in. I've gained some weight, and my hair is cut short again. I also am sober at 10:30 PM on my first night out. Would you believe that I am drinking bottled water? Well, I am. I am tired and suffering a case of re-adjustment blues. I am going to bed early. I want to thank my guest-bloggers for stirring the fire while I was gone. I appreciate it, ladies. And I appreciate each and every reader who hung around during my hiatus. I'm back and ready to rumble again. I just hope I can do this shit sober. I've never tried that before.

Posted by: Steve H. on November 30, 2005 12:09 PMI stopped lying to myself 4 years ago.( I don't need alcohol to function!) Never give up trying, it gets easier over TIME. Higher power and meetings! Cunning, Baffling, Powerful and Dangerous that's Alcohol. You are not alone my friend. Posted by: Warthog on December 1, 2005 12:46 AMCongrats man , great , you don't know me, i live far away (netherlands) stumpled upon this , just stopped by to wish you strength and willpower, happiness is a long way but main thing you are alive. Welcome back. I salute your surviving the rehab and I am glad you did it. It took a family member of mine getting shot in a bar to convince him that he might have a problem. He has been clean and sober for 15-20yrs now, one day at a time. Lucky for him, stubborn runs in our family. You have a healthy dose of it too, you can do it. Posted by: RickR on December 1, 2005 09:52 AMYou went through divorce on your blog. You went through a nasty divorce on your blog. You went through custody and legal hassles on your blog. You went through cancer and implants on your blog. You went through self-destruction, alcohol addiction, hiring prostitutes, and drug use, and nearly accomplished offing yourself in the process. The man that can do that publicly can blog with sobriety. Face it, if there was anything to be embarrassed about you've already done it, and it didn't change how much people love your blog, or the respect they have for you. So onward! Posted by: Connie on December 1, 2005 08:13 PMWelcome home, Rob. I've missed you like crazy and kept you in my prayers while you were gone. As we all know bottled water is for the lazy such as Rick and I. It's just so close to the couch. Posted by: georgia on December 2, 2005 11:54 PMAs usual, I'm late to the party...but what the hell... WAY TO GO, ACIDMAN!!!!!!!! Glad to see your back and on a good track. You have inspired me yet again. Posted by: AmyVegas on December 6, 2005 06:54 PMPost a comment
