kinda pissed off?

Mama is in a foul mood.

The truth is, I don't blame her one little bit. I feel the same way when I see some of those ungrateful shits on TV. Let's just get a few things straight:

1) Bush didn't cause the hurricaine.

2) You shoulda looked out for you OWN ASS instead of expecting government to do it for you.

3) If you're alive, be thankful for that fact. Don't bitch about the free food because it doesn't meet the standards of YOUR delicate palate.

4) STOP WHINING!!! Take some personal responsibility for the choices YOU made.

5) Learn a lesson. Get OUT next time.

Aw, I'm just pissing in the wind here. The idea of people taking care of themselves vanished a long time ago. That's the government's job now.

Once again, thank you LBJ.

There are still a bunch of us out here that believe in taking care of ourselves. The blogs I have read in the past few days proves that to me. And, as cold is it sounds and it is cold hearted but facts is the facts-ature takes care of those who take care of themselves and tends to periodically clean up the gene pool of those who do not take care of themselves. Right now it looks like the score is mother nature 10,000 and losers 0. Ole Ma Nature has more power than liberals OR the 'govmint'

as usual hit the button before editing. it is nature that takes care of those who take care of themselves.

Pardon my momentary bleeding heart, BUT I saw an awful lot of elderly and handicapped (slumped over in wheelchairs) who were STUCK in that hell hole....(perhaps they werent able to get out, even if they wanted to?)

As far as the rest of those fuckers,(in Louisiana) when I am sitting here in the bitter cold northeast in January, with no power, no heat, no water, frozen pipes, and dinner is a cold POPTART, those bastards in New Orleans are busy flashing their titties to one another......

Yes, Ruth, the news that some nursing home residents were not evacuated was dreadful; these facilities must not be overlooked...I can imagine the director of nursing saying, "You will loose your job if you do not stay to help evacuate". What a choice to make - your life or some old man's.

Not just referring to the Nursing Home residents (as their welfare was clearly in the hands of whatever facility they were in) I am talking about the elderly and the infirmed (still living at home) who had NO WAY of evacuating....Its one thing for the govt to suggest evacuation, its quite another for the elderly and handicapped to be able to take their advice....

Ruth, which brings me back to the pictures of flooded school buses and a mayor who was so damned incompetent that he didn't even try to execute the evacuation plan. But the ones who could have gotten out and did not do not get a lot of pity from me. But have no doubt-if it hit Miami, Tampa Bay, or probably Jacsonville there would be the same problems There are always those who can get out but don't and those who manage to walk out, get to higher ground or do what ever it takes to survive. Then there are those who do nothing and expect government to help them out because that what government had done all their lives.

The entire state of La. is so screwed up the Hurricane probably did it a favor. Sixty years of dim-wit rule had turned the state into a cess pool before the hurricane got there. They have an idiot for a governor, a real dumb ass for a mayor of New Orleans. He had to come from the projects, now the school buses weren't good enough for the poor people to ride out of town. They had to have luxury grey hounds. Looks like a lot of them will get their luxury ride in a hearse. They still use cadilac's don't they? Right up a welfare riders alley.
The dim-wits are in a full court racist press trying to protect a 'female' governor and a 'black' mayor. I think its became a comedy since day one. Me, I kept my money in my pocket, not one dime to anyone that is represented by the racist Je$$ie and $harpton. At least CNN has woke up, they put the dumb ass Peloshi on the hot seat. As ususal the dim-witted broad had no answers. Like the entire dim-wit party she only knows how to piss and moan, whine and point fingers like a kindergarden kid.

Reports are beginning to seep out through the cracks that Bush was meeting with top-level advisors as early as Tuesday seeking ways that the Feds could actually send in active-duty troops to essentially take command of Louisiana and establish order, provide food and water and start the evacuation process. That would be unprecedented in modern history, not to mention a very hairy Constitutional problem.

It would have certainly saved many lives. but can't you just hear the same idiots who are now howling that the Feds were too slow to act turn around and howl about the Feds usurping the power of the Governor of a sovereign state, actually by God INVADING it?

Hopefully, they would have dragged the Governor and Mayor of NO out back and shot them.

I know people who lost everything they own, families where not a single relative has a place to live. Haven't heard them bitching; some people here are just damned glad to be ALIVE.

And anyone bitching about the free food can bite my ass. First of all, where do you get off bitching about something being GIVEN to you? Second, the MREs I've had have been damn good.

A lot of people around here took the bare minimum aid, MREs and water just to survive -- the national guard gave out MREs, water, and ice, and everyone was damn happy to have it until stores reopened.

Sorry to leave a long comment, A-man. Just got internet access back last night and I'm in a raging mood about these whiners and all the bullshit about how racism caused FEMA to be slow.

Note: Some of us, a lot of us, did do it right. All of my neighbors in my uptown New Orleans condo building had plans made, places to go set up and ready. When the time came to leave, we left. This also goes for everyone I know, at least those I've been able to contact.

And at the risk of repeating myself, Mayor Nagin had no control over those school buses. They are owned by the Orleans Parish School Board, which is totally independent. The board is so riven with infighting that they couldn't get a unanimous vote on where the sun comes up, so the fact that they failed to get the buses going doesn't surprise me.
