face the truth

This is a damn good post. Call me a racist all you want to, but I SAW this shit happen in my lifetime, and facts are facts.

When Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Bill, he cackled that he'd "have the ni**ers voting Democrat for the next 200 years." He was correct.

My brother was President of his senior class at Jenkins High School when the forced integration hit his school. Black hoodlums piled off the school buses and started riots. Dumbasses like MY BROTHER wanted to welcome them to the school and make them feel at home. He was rewarded by being assaulted and beaten a few times by savage gangs who brought brass knuckles and sharpened belt-buckles to school.

That shit changed my brother's attitude about a lot of things. His school was shut down so many times by riots his senior year that he almost didn't graduate on time.

I'll call it like I see it. You bring a bunch of savages into a civilized school system and you DO NOT civilize the savages. THEY bring everybody else down to their level.

THAT'S what's wrong with the public school system today. When did it go to shit? When the government got involved intending to do "good." Bejus. Government fucks up almost everything it touches when it tries to do "good."

I once took a lunch break from work and went down to a shopping center about three miles from the plant to buy a box of fried chicken. The sidewalk was PACKED with black boys, probably about the age of 12 to 14, all wearing baggy pants with boxer shorts hanging out the back.

Every other word out of their mouths was "muthufucker" or "ni**er." I wondered why in the hell they weren't in school. But I'm not supposed to notice that kind of behavior.

I'm a racist when I do. Because 50 years of seeing this shit should NOT make an impression on me? Blacks make a lot of their own problems for themselves today. Racism doesn't have a got-dam thing to do with it. It's BEHAVIOR.

If racism were the culprit, ALL blacks would be in the same boat and NONE of them would be successful. But quite a few DO make it well in this country. I don't call that "acting white," either. I call it playing by the rules, which too many black people don't seem to be able (or willing) to do.

Call me a racist and tell me that I'm full of hate. I just see the world for what it is.

No one is so blind as the one who will not see.

We have an election coming up. One party stood for "funding based on need, rather than race" and have been grilled in the media, have been decried as racist and have generally been slammed by all and sundry.

But policies which divide the nation into racial groups, extends funding to specific racial groups and so forth are lauded as being good, progressive and will likely have a hand in the incumbents being re-elected.

The message in that is simple. You can only be racist if you argue behavior and wish to remove 'entitlement' benefits.

Thanks A-man.

"You bring a bunch of savages into a civilized school system and you DO NOT civilize the savages."

There's an old saying that goes like this...

Add a drop of wine to a barrel of sewage - you get a barrel of sewage.
Add a drop of sewage to a barrel of wine - you get a barrel of sewage.

ni**ers??? WTF?

Never thought I'd see the day when you would be politically correct and censor your own words.

Posted by: The Wizard on September 7, 2005 08:06 PM

I swore two years ago that I would NEVER use the forbidden N-word again on my blog. I keep my word.

Posted by: Acidman on September 7, 2005 08:23 PM

You're right about behavior. Bill Cosby got in a raft of shit for saying just the same thing. I think it's wrong too. I won't bore you with why I think that happens, but when you paint an entire race of human beings based on the color of their skin, on one sidewalk full of kids, or on the members of their race that cheat, how is that different from any other elistist? If it's not racism, or classism, what is it? I'm asking cause I don't know.

I've been luckier than I probably deserved in my half a century on this earth and I've traveled - a lot of the times in third world countries. I've slept in palaces and I've slept on the street. Loved them both. One thing I found out is that people are pretty much the same all over. Most of them are decent. Some of them are not and it's got nothing to do with what color they are or how much money they have.

The real point is the White House is fostering this generations old mindset and when you buy into their PR, all you're doing is promoting hate, not solutions. While we're here bickering about whether black people are all lazy, they're laughing at you while they line their pockets with ALL our tax dollars.

Don't fool yourselves. They don't care about you anymore than they cared about NOLA and when they're done taking people like me down, they'll be coming after you. You don't have to believe me, but for God's sake, don't just believe them either, without at least thinking about what I said.

Posted by: Libby on September 7, 2005 08:31 PM

What Johnson actually said was "I've just delivered the south to the republicans for the next fifty years."
If you weren't such an ignorant fuck you could look it up.

Posted by: Marli on September 7, 2005 08:38 PM

One thing I notice about blacks, the older ones who actually lived through racist times, are some of the sweetest, non-violent people you'll ever meet in your life.

It's these young punk black kids who have no clue what true racism is that are bringing their own race down with riots, violence and crime.

And your white kids that think it's "cool" to be black are in the violence and crime right along with them. So in order for white kids to "act black" the must commit crimes and act like thugs. WTF? What are people like Jesse Jackson teaching their race?

Thats really sad for those blacks who are decent civilized people.

BTW, I'm black myself and I don't think you're a racist at all A-man.

I like your blog.

Posted by: DeLinda on September 7, 2005 08:41 PM

The saving grace is that the thugs and looters are a minority of black people. Millions have joined the great middle cllass struggle to keep a job in order to make a house payment and pay the utilities and other bills. The question is why is it that so many have but yet so many have not! It is not a question now of race as much as it is culture-a culture that has been taught that it is not cool to go to school and acting right is acting white. This is the culture that is dragging down the rest of us with it and must be changed.

you can take the nigger out of the jungle,
but you can't take the jungle out of the nigger.

at one point, i was really offended by that saying. now, i'm pretty sure it has its roots in fact, at least for many blacks.

Posted by: heath on September 7, 2005 09:19 PM

I'd also mention, i know and have the honor of calling many "black" folk friends, people who are decent and live by the same code i do, and despite having dark skin act nothing like these feral bastards.

hell, i bought my first car from an ol' black guy. nicest guy you'd ever meet, a true gentleman. ( and the only black i've even seen wearing a pair of wranglers and cowboy boots. no , they weren't hanging off his ass, either.)

Posted by: heath on September 7, 2005 09:22 PM

I've never considered myself to be a racist, but I do see the problem pretty much exactly the same way Bill Cosby does. I know plenty of good black folks that are no different than me when it comes to trying to be a good citizen. My next door neighbor is one of them.

But I've also been robbed twice at gun point in my life, both times by young black men. My grandmother was raped and robbed at age 80 by black men (she lived alone in an almost all black neighborhood for many years), tied up in her basement naked and then they set her house on fire. Fortunately it went out on it's own and she was ok, but she was understandably severely traumatized by the event.

I usually will give a black person the benefit of the doubt even today, but that I even have to wonder always bothers me.

Still, there are some blacks that totally understand the situation the same way Bill and I (and obviously you too) do. Here is one example :

A shame, a real shame that you can't just look it up.

marli, why don't you get your own fucking blog?? must you shit on the carpet here?

Posted by: heath on September 7, 2005 10:26 PM

You boys are right. What's the point in encouraging a stupid red neck to find out an easily found out thing?

Posted by: Marli on September 7, 2005 10:32 PM

Well Marli, I took your challenge and tried to google your quote (I assumed it was a direct quote, since the sentence was enclosed in quotes.) However, that phrase/sentence did not match any documents. Interesting - especially for an "easily found out thing."

I also googled Acidman's quote and found several pages. It seems the quote Acidman used can be found chronicled in Robert Kessler's book 'Inside the White House.'

Please enlighten us, oh Marli (and excerpts from the democratic underground don't count.)

Posted by: stupid redneck on September 7, 2005 11:09 PM

To marli,
Ronald Kessler's 1995 book, "Inside the White House: The hidden lives of the modern presidents and the secrets of the world's most powerful institution", has the qoute Rob attributed to LBJ.

In that book, on page 33, Robert N. MacMillan (a USAF crewman on Air Force One) witnessed LBJ confiding in two governors why he wanted a civil rights bill, and THERE is where you'll find that qoute.

All that from my doing a little *ahem* research online.

Go crawl back under the rock you came from, punk.

Posted by: KenS on September 7, 2005 11:15 PM

The exact quote would be: " I think we have just delivered the south to the Republican Party for along time to come."
If you were to search on that you would find a few more references than the MacMillan book.
Folks when he sighned the civil rights act MLK was actually standing there in the room. Do you actually believe he made that remark about niggers? Sheesh!

LBJ was too clever for that. He talked about niggers only when he was around his racist buddies.

He also called his dick a "rattlesnake" once in a news conference. I've always wanted to suck one of those.

Posted by: Marli on September 7, 2005 11:29 PM

In the vein of what Dan Akroyd said on Saturday Night Live, "Marli, you ignorant slut!"

Marli, could YOU provide the URL or whatever it is YOU are referencing for what YOU are attributing to LBJ??

Please, if you're not gonna pay attention, then go away. Re-read my previous post. I provided the context for when LBJ used the epithet. Kessler's book had as it's source a USAF crewman on AIRFORCE ONE when LBJ was on it, and when he was talking with two senators re: The Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Obviously, LBJ was NOT going to use a racial epithet during the SIGNING of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The conversation took place BEFORE the Act was passed by The House and Senate.

Also obvious, is your confusion about the qoute, when it was said, and probably many OTHER things not relevant to this thread.

Now I've tried to point you in the right direction, but, I believe the saying about horses and water applies here, so if you are going to continue spreading ignorance and showing yourself to be a fool, carry on.

However, you MIGHT want to consider doing so elsewhere.

This is some of the most sickening, racist dialogue I have ever seen. Where do you people come from? Try educating yourselves and developing a sense of decency. Is this a skinhead organization or something?

Posted by: Johnny B Goode on September 8, 2005 03:47 AM

I did a post about blacks constantly using the N-word while no one else is privileged to do so. More thought control, seems to me. If it is an evil, racist term then why does anyone use it at all?
And....while we're on the subject, liberal left never gets on the "Viva la raza" (Long live the race) situation...weird. What phrase could be more racist by definition? No outrage whatsoever on that one, whew.

Posted by: Shep on September 8, 2005 04:11 AM

To Marli:

You blithering idiot.

Posted by: Daniel Medley on September 8, 2005 05:41 AM

I ask some of my friends why if I, as a white person greeted a black friend with "Hey nigger, what's up?" with a smile on my face I would be offensive but one black to another is acceptable. They told me it is in the pronunciation. Whites say "nigger", blacks say "nigga". They said it was two entirely different meanings, one being a friendly greeting, the other being a racist slur. I gave them a blank, confused look... they just smiled, shook their heads and called me a cracker.

Posted by: PamelaRN on September 8, 2005 05:48 AM

What scares me is the fact that the TRUE meaning of the word is lost. Along with many other words that the dictionary used to be pretty accurate on. You just can't say things anymore without hurting someone's feelings, or having the meaning twisted or paralleled with something that was anti-[put movement of choice here]

Pissant Liberals.

Posted by: LC Corey on September 8, 2005 08:32 AM

I used to be much more optomistic about the future of race relations in the country. But not a day goes by that I don't find myself becoming more prejudice and it really bothers me. Well others call it prejudice, I just call it like I see it. I used to think it was just bad apples in the black community who did crimes, did dumb things and lived a life that was not condusive to good things. Now I see it as black culture. I have been a victim of crime 3 times, all by young black men. Two occured in HI and TX where there wasn't even that large of a black population to begin with. I live near 3 schools and all day long the only thing you see are young black kids walking up and down the road instead of class. Very rarely do you see a white kid, and NEVER an asian or hispanic kid.

It is not unrelated that crime has risen through the roof and the schools have spiraled down, down, and down some more as my county has become more black.

I am actually waiting for a home apprasier to come over this morning so I can start to process to sell my home and get the fuck out while I still have some property value left. This isn't 'white flight', it is selling my home before the value goes down even more because of the neighborhood.

Posted by: dave on September 8, 2005 08:55 AM

Marli: OK, I tried looking it up. Here's what Google said:

Your search - "I've just delivered the south to the republicans for the next fifty years." - did not match any documents.

Posted by: Ernie G on September 8, 2005 11:43 AM

I think that what Acidman and Cosby are referring to is something I came across in a management book years ago. The author called it the GMP, or "Greatest Mahagement Principle":

Whatever behavior you reward, you're going to get more of.

With this criterion in mind, one can look at practically any undesirable behavior pattern, from outright criminal behavior to welfare fraud, to goofing off and slacking in a business setting and ask, "How is this behavior being rewarded?"

If you pay people not to work, or let people get away with coming in late, or praise supervisors for having useless, time-wasting meetings, you're going to get more of all three things. And you'll probably wonder why otherwise decent people would act that way.

Posted by: Ernie G on September 8, 2005 11:59 AM

Just as long as you don't call them 'refugees'.

God forbid.

Posted by: Trish on September 8, 2005 06:52 PM

KenS: I must emphasize that I was responding to Rob's original post "When Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights[Act].''
Now that it's been clarified that "when'' actually means at an uspecified time either before or after, everything has become clear.

I am a dumbfuck woman who thinks with her pussy instead of her brain. You assholes have your fucking NERVE to ask me to provide a link to what I write.

I don't need to KNOW anything. I FEEL IT, and that's good enough for me.

Posted by: Marli on September 8, 2005 09:23 PM

Marli, you cunt, you are full of shit. You fabricated a totally false quote because you are full of shit. Furthermore, anyone with an ounce of sense would concede that using "when" in the sense that Rob used it can mean "at around the same time." After losing the argument because you are a lying cunt, you thought up this hyper-literal misdriection and have probably been sticking your finger up your ass in a self-congratulatory orgy ever since. You still haven't addressed the proven point that you knowingly supplied a made-up quote, because you are a lying cunt, cunt.

Posted by: Chris on September 8, 2005 10:07 PM

Ah, the memories of race riots, sharpened belt buckles, attacks for "just being white" - those were our realities in the early 70s too. Not much has changed, really.

Posted by: RubyTuesday on September 8, 2005 10:31 PM

Ernie G: I'll repeat the correction posted above

"I think we have just delivered the south to the Republican Party for a long time to come."

search on it or don't

Posted by: Marli on September 8, 2005 10:36 PM

Honestly, I think half the people that read this do it so they can attack liber- imean evil EVIL trolls. Lord, all she did was correct the quote, which, by the way, was accurate, the second time, and every post since attacks her for the heck of it. And these people are wondering how so many can stay ignorant. Google search for the second:

Racial slurs are unacceptable when said by someone different because they are widely accepted as being derogatory, and thus are. If you're black though, and you use them, you're "insulting" yourself as much as them, and thus cannot be derogatory. For instance, I have an Arab friend who makes terrorist jokes, but that doesn't mean it's alright for strangers to start addressing him as a terrorist.

Why are all of you so eager to be calling people the N-word anyway? Do you currently walk up to a black man and say, "hey, African American!"?

Posted by: William on September 8, 2005 10:36 PM

Chris, You're right of course. When we have a president who asserts that " the better things get in Iraq the worse they're gonna be", I suppose we can all agree that words just don't mean anything anymore.

Posted by: Marli on September 8, 2005 10:40 PM

And Chris, try not to call an old woman a "cunt" present company excepted. It's just bad policy.

Actually, the only reason I commented here is because I want to sample Acidman's bionic dick.

Marli, a cunt is a cunt--that's my policy. All together now: you are a cunt. Also, if your IQ ever sprouts a third digit, you will see that the Bush quote fails to prove your point because you omitted the context. You lying cunt.

Chris, You for example, are a dead cunt full of cold piss.

Posted by: Marli on September 10, 2005 02:34 AM

Marli, you go from blathering about the malfeasance of using the word "cunt" to calling me a cunt. If my dick were as small as your intellect, I wouldn't be able to fuck a pinky ring.
