i'm not gonna declare victory

They may be back. They've done it before.

The ants got so bad around my house that I had to take extreme measures. I was smart enough to buy TWO 50-pound bags of Diazanon right after the tree-hugging EPA banned it. Even in this sweltering heat, I was pissed off enough to spread 90 pounds of it over my yard and around my house. I kept 10 pounds for emergency back-up.

BWHAHAHAHAAA!!! I don't have ants in my yard anymore, but my neighbors do. And THEY don't have any Diazanon. I hope I killed a gadzillion ants, but I really think I just ran them off and stuck my neighbors with them.

Tough shit. That's THEIR problem now--- not mine. I hope they do the wookie-dance the next time they're bitten and thank the EPA for banning Chlordane, too.

Watch out Einstein, that stuff could be what's wrong with your belly. (And your swollen feet.)

I don't think you can kill the sumbitches-just piss 'em off enough that they will move. I am thinking about buying a couple of ardvarks just to control the fireants. Hell, if they do well I may start an aardvark farm and start selling them. I wonder if they will hunt birds too?

I do not know. I'm happy driving them far enough away from the recreation areas of the yard at this point in time. Fire ants are the worst. People think I'm some kind of mean momma for not letting her kids go barefoot in the summer. Hell, when I was a kid, you couldn't keep shoes on my feet. But we didn't have MOUNTAINS of fire ants to fall into ..ugh.

Diazanon is banned? I think I still have some in my garage (a small canister) Nothing works better on ants than that stuff.....and when did Chlordane get banned? (I gotta keep up with this shit) My Dad used to squirt that stuff all over our grass when I was a kid to kill....hmmm, chinch bugs (?) Grubs (?)

And I know he would advise us to grab the cat and keep him inside till the stuff was dry.....
