mci again

I got another call from those bastards today. The bill I refused to pay months ago when I cancelled my service just keeps growing every month. I figure that I owe them about $15, and I've offered to pay that over and over again. No, that won't work. I now owe them $250 for charges on a service that I don't have.

I was as polite as I could be to the wench who gave me the strongarm call today. I didn't say "FUCK YOU!" one single time, although I DID mention something about wiping my Cracker ass on that bill. I might have thrown "you bunch of thieving cocksuckers" into the mix, too, but I don't really recall.

All I know is, I have offered to pay them what I ACTUALLY owe them and I have refused to pay this bullshit they keep throwing at me. What a company. If you have MCI, get rid of it RIGHT NOW, before it's too late.

I'll die and go to hell before I pay those pricks.

MCI is totally sucky! They kept trying to charge me $30 late fees if I didn't practically overnight a check to them the minute I got a bill. I'm not a big fan of any of the phone companies......but reluctantly, I switched back to Quest, who I was trying to get away from in the first place. And lo and behold......they offered me 3 months free and a $50 long distance credit, just for switching back! They're on my good side now!

Send them a nice 'payment-in-full' letter and a check for $15.

If they cash your check, they have accepted your offer of contract for closure.

If they send the check back, they admit you never owed them anything per the Uniform Commercial Code

Funny you should mention them. I just dumped MCI last week. Seems that four days in a row they called telemarketing and woke up my wife who works third shift.

She told them that she was not authorized to change things and not to call during the day. I'd been with them since Ma Bell got broke up and made durn sure the customer service rep knew why I left.

Assholes.

One of my most commented and long-term popular posts ever is the one on MCI telemarketing calls gone wild. I put the phone numbers I had them from, commenters added more, and so when people Google those numbers, they het that post where everyone shares their horror stories and ways to escape the calls from MCI. And that's just when they are trying to get you to be a customer in the first place, never mind their evils as a service provider or honest, accurate biller during and after your time as a customer.

Don't waste your time with MCI. Contact your state Attorney General's office. One letter from them and MCI will leave you alone. It worked for us, and we didn't owe them anything. They wanted almost 400 dollars for nothing. They got nothing.

Denise gives you good advice, Jim doesn't. You might want to send them a firm, business-like letter disputing the debt as well.

You are the type who should be rooting for the Red Sox--it would be poetic, and the final f.u. to countless obnoxious New Yorkers

If they, MCI, kept fucking with me, I would not send them, nothing, Fuckem, tell them to sue you. Fuck MCI on the horse they rode in on, Catfish.

You still haven't canceled the service, Rob. You gotta do a lot more than call them "thieving cocksuckers."

You literally have to tell them that you NEVER want to hear from them or be billed by them again...that that's what you meant when you said CANCEL.

It took three months to cancel mine, but when I said those words, they finally -though reluctantly- listened.

(...and I paid the thieving cocksuckers.)
