who got raped?
Just Damn! DNA tests failed to link any member of the Duke lacrosse team to the alleged rape of a stripper hired to entertain at a team party a month ago. How can this be true? The "victim" said that she was raped and sodomized. Wimmen don't lie about such things.
Maybe she just exaggerated her story a little. Womanly hyperventilation, and all that. Oh, well. If she wasn't raped, then no harm was done, right?
The allegations have led to the resignation of coach Mike Pressler, the cancellation of the lacrosse season and the suspension of one player from school.
The case also led to days of protests on and off the Duke campus, and some of the players have moved for safety reasons.
Who REALLY got raped here?
Of course, the persecution... er... I mean prosecution of the players will continue, because the crime was so shocking, appalling and outrageous, even if it never happened.
District Attorney Mike Nifong has said he would have other evidence to make his case should the DNA analysis prove inconclusive or fail to match a member of the team.
"I believe a sexual assault took place," Nifong told The News & Observer of Raleigh on Monday. "I'm not saying it's over. If that's what they expect, they will be sadly disappointed."
It WOULD be kinda embarassing after all the flapdoodle to drop the case and admit that the woman lied. Better to clog the courts, ruin a few innocent lives and waste a whole lot of money with gaseous posturing than to let this story die the death it deserves.
Yeah, Nifong is correct. A sexual assault did, indeed, take place.
Duke's lacrosse team got fucked.
As a woman, I can also very strongly add that any female who falsely charges rape diminishes the validity of actual victims.
She should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law if she is guilty of bearing false witness.
Makes me wonder if they weren't planning on a lawsuit to try and retire...
I never blogged this even though it happened in my backyard because I had a bad feeling about it. In all those years at the law firm I've seen too many sleazebags looking to cash in with a frivolous suit against a deep pocket target.
Not having followed the details, I won't rush to condemn. Maybe it was someone who was not on the team that attacked her but if she made that shit up, I agree with Maggie, this girl should be prosecuted and jailed for making a false report.
Hard enough for a real rape victim to make a case without some golddigging fraud trying to cash in on the litigation gravy train, making all victims look like liars.
it is always rape when the check bounces
Part of the trouble for the Duke men will be the criminal justice system in North Carolina. There, unlike Georgia, Florida or many other states, judges do not try cases in a single geographic district. Judges from all over the state are assigned to try cases all over the place. A judge in Murphy (far west) can be assigned to try a case in Manteo (east coast).
As a result, travel all over the state and rarely visit any one courthouse where they have been assigned a case. It can take years before a case comes to trial - even when the defendant is in jail and not allowed bond. Prosecutors wear down defendants and force guilty pleas to lesser offenses. The defendants agree just to get on with their lives.
The prosecutor is probably right - this is not over.
Those boys did not want any pussy, they are into drinking and smoking dope. A big party at Duke is always happening. I have been there, Cat
Bottom line, if the woman lied, NOTHING will happen to her - the number of women who make false rape accusations is growing exponentially, but unless and until these pussified prosecutors start throwing a few of THEM in jail for a session with the bull dykes, they will keep doing it.
Men, the only safe thing to do is 1) Videotape every sexual encounter, that tape may just save your life, or 2) Say no to American women. 99.9 percent are basket cases.
No DNA evi\dence != no rape.
If she is lying, I'll be the first to hope there is some way to press charges and make her life miserable. However don't start believing CSI: the majority of police cases cannot be solved by DNA.
And maggot, ' the number of women who make false rape accusations is growing exponentially'? That's an extraordinary claim and, as far as I can tell, one with no supporting evidence. I've looked at all sorts of statistics on this subject from all sorts of sources and IMHO there is too many crappy statistics out there for me to be able to find ones that I trust.
"That's an extraordinary claim and, as far as I can tell, one with no supporting evidence."
No this is not of eh estra ordinary it's all too common, but most of the them the guy gets his wrists slashed, guilty or not, and not guilty is a very common occourance!
SO FAR, it Appears as though not one shread of DNA evidence esists that such a rape took place..... SO FAR>>>> More is yet to come I'm sure.
If this woman has lied, then she should serve the same penality that her alledged attackers would have served. Time in prision, permanantly on a sex offender list and such.
Let the bull dykes defend her! They are the ones that fed her the line that she could get away with murder!
Maggie, something as unjust as this the penality should be double what an actual crime would receieve.
Ladies, try and get a clue that men are totally sick and tired of getting set up and convicted on nothing but an accusation!!!!!! We are fighting back, and will continue to do so! What is it about EQUAL RIGHTS under the law that apparently too many women do not understand?
Is it any wonder more and more men are choosing to NOT marry!? It's not that we don't love you, it's that you really have not earned half of the world we created!
Apparently this was one of those ultra-rare, super-pure hookers..ur.. dancers that doesn't swallow "DNA evidence" for $50 a pop?
In one of the many ironies of life, it's becoming more and more of a good idea to video tape such.. um.. festivities. Not only for the amusement value, but to serve as evidence when accused of a felony.
Maggot & TC: I understand why you feel the way you do. Just a question here.... the courts are designed for equal protection under the law, and it's mostly men who are judges in these cases. So if you men are not gonna take it anymore, why do you suppose women get such leniency? Personally, I think it's because men see women as the weaker sex and probably feel they need extra protection. I'm not sure a man's nature will ever change in that respect and I wouldn't want it to. However, I'd love to see more women judges. Although you haven't much faith in women (and rightly so in many cases), I think you'd see a different result. Women aren't as easy on one another, and you'd see women judges putting more women in jail.
