a total abomination
I don't know how else to describe this. Any judge who awards $100,000 to a convicted multiple-murderer in a jailhouse lawsuit needs to be dragged off and shot.
Daniel LaPlante is a convicted triple murderer and not just any triple murderer, either. He broke into a neighbor's house in rural Townsend in 1987, raped and executed the pregnant mother who lived there, then drowned her 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son in separate bathtubs. He smirked at the jury that convicted him.
But when he was in jail, he said somebody stopped him from receiving porographic mail and stole his shower shoes. HIS "civil right" were violated. He sued.
Palmer & Dodge won the suit, and, lo and behold, its pro bono work wasn't free any more. Federal law allows a firm to submit a bill when it wins a civil rights case, and it did: $125,000 in all. Judge Gertner ordered the state to pay $99,981 of it.
If this shit is justice, then I'm a got-dam brain surgeon.
Of course, if that cold-blooded bastard committed such a crime in Georgia, instead of compassionate Peoples Republic of Massachussettes, the suit never would have happened. We fry such assholes down South, and they don't sue from the grave.
Can you imagine being related to that family, or just being good friends, and watching that scum-sucking piece of pure filth's lawyers collect $100,000 of YOUR money?
Got dam! Drag them ALL off and shoot them.
Jesus, how come I never have great cases like that?
Probably because you managed to cling to a few shreds of your humanity.
I wonder how many lawyers would really take a case like that.
They need to take the $100K award and give it to the victims family. Or the family should sue this rotten piece of crap for wrongful death
The family should sue them all for being illegal aliens (as in from another galaxy), take all their money (unless currency can't be converted easily from tsdafggleerr's to dollars) then dragged off and shot. Then the legal aliens involved (surely they can't be real human Americans in the legal professions) should be dragged off and shot.
With luck, we can watch them dissolve in steaming puffs, like the ones in the old Invaders TV show. That was cool.
Has anyone looked at the Judge to see if his little finger is crooked?
Now . . . you decide . . .
Judges who make such asinine decisions are:
1. On their own
3. Private businessmen
4. Government employees
You get what you deserve, so quitcherbitchin until you really wake up to the facts of life. Bitching about single issues like you do don't mean shit until you understand that it all stems from the same sources--and heretofore--the same sources you support.
You guys are fun to watch--clueless as to why you bitch, and unwilling to to indict those responsible.
jb, I really want to shoot you in the kneecap. Murry
1. an asshat
2. America's only living brain donor
4. a trolling twit unable to behave in polite society
5 all of the above
Here is my question - Judge Gertner - Republican or Democrat? I'm going to go with Dem....don't know why. Just a hunch....
Oh Lord, don't get me started.
A friend of mine lives in the house where the murders took place. He bought it from the surviving husband/father who, quite naturally, sold the house afterwards.
The poor guy was devastated beyond words. He came home from work one day to find his entire family slaughtered.
And we still don't have the death penalty here in the People's Republic.
BTW, here's a picture of our choir boy.
It's from a prison pen pal web site. Now if you'll excuse me I need to go take a shower.
Nuke 'em. Only way to be sure.
awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww the rascists lose one
I like how you put that. I think that was well said. I think Daniel Laplante is a monster. He should not have collected that money. I am a Massachusetts resident, and although, at the time of his conviction, I was not a taxpayer, but I am now. My mother, my sisters, my brother, my father, they were all Massachusetts residents as well. My mother and Father, the only taxpayers at that time.
I lived in the town over from Townsend my whole life. I recently moved out of their, but it is still a scary thing. I would like to know where Daniel Laplante is now. Well, we all called him Danny, becuase he was just one of the kids who hung out in our town.
