Gut Rumbles

cry me a river

Bejus! I weep and gnash my teeth. I rend my clothes, pull my hair and mourn as if someone in my family just died.

it's her birthday and she's approaching her "late 30s." I wish her a very happy birthday, but I ask her to get back to me when she turns 50.

We'll compare "body falling apart" notes THEN, if I'm still around.

So far the 30s have been pretty cool for me.

I turned 37 yesterday and am still in pretty good shape. It takes a little more maintenance, but it's definitely worth it.
My grandmother just turned 91. If my overall health is as good as hers is (if I live that long), I will feel blessed.
Sure, I was feeling a little sorry for myself the other night, but I realized it's not a bad thing, getting older.
Beats the alternative (says my dad, who's had his share of health problems).

Thanks for the b-day wishes, you old fart.

I'm sure you'll still be around when I hit fifty; I get the impression that you're just too ornery to die.

My eyes are fair wore out from weeping for her troubles in her old age. Next week I'm 51. Try that out for size, lady.My eyes are wore out anyway, new glasses every 10 months that won't keep up with the fading eyesight. Trouble walking after 10-hour days on my feet at work because of problems from a broken back in '92. Hard to sit down, hard to get up. Other things are increasingly hard to get up too, but we won't talk about that heh. Old happens. But not at your age.
