I really do have a frightening subconscious mind.
I dream vividly, and most of what I dream is very weird shit. I dream about being back at work, but I'm not wearing any shoes. I dream about Jennifer laughing at me while she's fucking someone else. I dream about being stuck in a high place with no way to get down.
I dream about being able to fly, too. I LIKE those dreams, because all I have to do is WISH myself into the air, and there I go, just like a bird. I dream about my father a lot, too.
But I also dream about clogged toilets and crap running all over the floor. I dream about monsters and horrible things coming after me and every gun I try to use just drops a bullet from the barrel. I try to run, but it's like I'm swimming through syrup.
I sometimes wake up in a cold sweat. Does that ever happen to YOU?
Good. It doesn't to me, either. I just made this stuff up.
All my dreams are about flying or being chased by someone that never gets tired.
Not the other stuff, but "a high place with no way to get down" - yeah - and I can't see who left me there.
I dream about work a lot lately. I'm really burnt out on it (29 years same place) and am
going to retire real soon. I've got some medical problems I want to fix first. But we just got a new little SOB supervisor and I do not know if I can take the BS. Never much dream about sex, must mean I get all I want.....ha!, ha!, ha!...yeah, right! One of the most profound dreams I ever had. Was that my scooter was stolen. But during the actual
dream I knew and said to myself that it is only a dream and my sweet baby was not gone!
While my wife can recall her dreams in vivid detail
I seldom remembermore than isolated bits of my dreams. Does anybody else not remember their dreams?
You GOTTA lay off the five alarm chicken wings and stuff tater skins ... they'll do it to y'a EVERY time [[Grin]]
I did have a dream last night that my ass was a watermelon and Jessie Jackson was taking a bite right out of the middle of it.
My dreams have always been colorful and weird-ass. Lately, as in the past few years, I've had recurring "leaking house or building" dreams. Walls are soggy and dripping, roofs are soaked, just all around watery mess.
I decided, after analyzing them for tumult, subconscious angst about blah, blah, blah that they were occurring because we do, indeed, have a frickin' leaking house.
Made it a lot easier to segue into the next dream about the flying heat vents.
OK Rob, you got me. I thought "What the hell is this with Rob? The Duke would never say such things.
When I was a kid I dreamed about flying. Just floating up from the bed and going. I think I may actually have had out-of-body experiences, because everything was dead accurate. No distortions, weird objects/people, nothing. Just like I was in a helicopter. I loved it. One of the few things I remember about my childhood. The rest disappeared like smoke after my Dad died when I was 13. Like someone shut a book. But I remember that. It stopped probably by the time I was 7 or so. I wish I could do it again.
The last time I dreamt I was flying I crashed into a tree n woke up :(
Damn, Rob! You're normal after all!
I've had a recurring dream since I was a child and still do occasionally; I'm being chased in a theatre by something malevolent and the theatre has red velvet walls and long, thick, dark velvet curtains that I'm running through. It's crazy vivid....
I do sometimes wake up in a cold sweat and it freaks me out every time...
I got the no shoe dreams when I was going to school. Wierdest thing to dream about.
We were talking about flying dreams lately, broke it into a few types: big jumps, using the arms as "wings", and swimming through the air. What kind do you have?
"I dream about being able to fly, too. I LIKE those dreams, because all I have to do is WISH myself into the air, and there I go, just like a bird."
Yea, I used to get those all the time. (Past tense, dammit.) Indoors, outdoors, it was always the same: I was totally weightless - just pushed off with my toes and soared up...
Mine were always just like the "Bionic Leap" that you see in the Hulk movie. JUST like that. It's as good as flying because I can feel the sinking in my tummy -- reminds me of roller coasters :)
Haven't had one in a while, though. Not since early teens, at least.
Rarely remember dreams these days, unless I wake up right in the middle of one.
Ever dream your partner is screwing around on you and wake up ready to smack him/her?
Had 3 recurring dreams as a child:
1. I could fly - just a matter of flapping my arms strongly and quickly enough (husband says he could take off by running down a hill). Those ARE the best dreams - I wanna come back as a hawk!
2. Going through an old creepy house - the floor always gives way and I fall - but don't recall ever landing.
3. Dreamed pirates had my mother on a ship and were going to kill her (holding knives to her neck and singing yo ho ho) - very scary when you're 5!
I have a reccurring dream that I am in a parking lot and can't remember where I parked my car. I will wake up in a haze and then try to go back to sleep so I can find it before I go to work.
If I dream, I usually never remember it. However, I had a really weird one about a week ago. I live out in the country and I am looking out my window and 2 big cougars are killing a huge bull calf - tearing him to threads. Now that is one weird dream - sure would like to know what it means. I am thankful that I usually don't recall my dreams.
"Ever dream your partner is screwing around on you and wake up ready to smack him/her?"
OH BIG TIME....I woke up once so mad I was shaking, he's lucky I didn't choke him in his sleep....very freaky
