my new bathtub read

I just finished a couple of other books and I've started this one now. It's by Jimmy Dean, and it's called "Thirty Years of Sausage and Fifty Years of Ham." So far, it ain't bad.

I like to take a long, hot bath in the evening, and I read in the bathtub. Being retired and semi-rich, it's not like I have anything else to do. I just sit in the tub and read until I get pruney, while I nibble erotic fruits, drink a Shiner Bock and wait for the next "Gunsmoke" rerun to come on my television.

It's a rough life, but somebody has to do it.

Sounds like that might work for me. between Red Tide and too gotdam hot I ain't been fishin in over a month. Started to blog because I run out of somthin to read.TVbores the shit out of me and it spills over on the blog. Fingers hurt to bad to build a fishing rod-its a hell of a life but beats no life at all.

All you need is a small 22 pistol and a bullet trap down the hall, so you can shoot while you read, and you're in hog heaven. Oh, I forgot, you don't own any guns.

So WTF is an erotic fruit? A banana? :-) I could see "exotic", maybe. Bananas might get old after a while.

Jimmy Dean's Sausage and Ham book for you and My Pet Goat for George W. That certainly makes sense and is about par for the course for a couple of useless, arrogant, hillbilly chickenhawks.

Being not quite retired and not quite rich, I still enjoy an evening in the tub with a good book. Sometimes I have to start adding more hot water to the mix when it gets cold, but enjoy the relaxing experience I do!

although I am not a fan of reruns of Gunsmoke I too enjoy a good book in the tub, although I thought it a hobby of the "Calgon take me away " sect

Sheee-it son, that is #4 on the best feelings you can have after you're 50 years old - t'others are 1- Wakin' up 2 - A good "duke" aka colonic relief and #3 - Orgasm.

Four times a week ( I rotate the days) I do this with 2-23 ounce self-brewed beers while listening to the Indians/Browns game.

Can we say heavenly? I knew you could.....

Hard to read in a hot, steamy, hi-velocity, 2nd degree skin burn shower. How about a review of the book when ya finish. Jimmy Dean is a Ft Worth guy.
He always seemed to be decent down to earth. And "Big Bad John", a classic 50/60's song. In those days so much music crossed over from country to rock and vica versa. The songs were either about young love, hot rods or heroes.
