is he dead?
What happened to this guy? Here one day and gone the next, I suppose.
Bejus! I had people crawling my ass for telling someone who blogged for FOUR MONTHS and started complaining about all his "hard work" that he should be bitch-slapped. Cruel me. I put up more posts in a single day than that guy did since he started. My sympathy violin just wasn't playing for him.
I've seen a bunch of bloggers burn out and vanish. Popular people, too. I have an opinion about that phenomenon (I have an opinion on EVERYTHING), and it's very simple to me.
Either you like blogging, or you don't. If it ever becomes WORK instead of something you WANT to do, then quit. The world isn't going to stop turning and in a week nobody will miss you anyway. Follow your heart. Very few other people give a damn.
Blogging is the ULTIMATE short-attention-span theater. If Kim quit, I'm certain that he had his reasons, and they are none of MY business.
At least he's not bitching about what "hard work" it was.
Well, he commented yesterday on his blog. Probly in jail by now.
"Blogging is the ULTIMATE short-attention-span theater"
No wonder I like blogging so much!
who are you talking about aman?
i saw him over at key's place..
I liked blogging a lot when I did it and I hated to quit.
But somewhere around the time you got fired for yours, I damn near did too. I knew all along that my employer would frown on it if they ever found out and I was pretty much forced to quit either the blog or my job when they did. Unfortunately, the job won.
In anticipation of just such an occurence, I called it www.quitthat.com
Just a hiatus. I've had snot running out of my nose with more intelligence than what I've been posting. I'm going surf fishing for a week, leaving the laptop, exploring the various ways rum can pickle the brain.
Hard work? WTH?! This stuff is too easy! Though it does take a little effort to be interesting.
I find my work effortless, AND brilliant, Oregano. Just not lately.
I wouldn't call my stuff brilliant, but it does keep me off the streets. Well, it keeps me from watching television.
Blogging is fun, pure and simple.
If it's "hard work", go get a job that PAYS you to do this stuff.
I'm a "damned amateur". I like comments, but I don't need 'em. I like adoration from strangers, but I don't need it.
And I like a good beer. God Bless Guiness!
