This is too pathetic not to be true. What are those wristbands selling for?

Hell... if I were a multi-millionaire, I'd buy one, too... y'know... to end poverty and all. Know what I'm sayin? I CARE, man!

Now, get outta my face. The valet dude is here with my Porche.

Fuck the bastards. If the Chinese ever DID invade, they'd probably hit the West Coast first (to divert attention from the East Coast), hopefully obliterating LA with all the Hollywood idiots still inside.

Dana, I think you are correct. Many of us give a dollar or two to help someone help themselves. Once in a while I read about someone like Gates giving millions. The problem with the hollywood crowd is that they want the government to do it--without taxing them.

We had a bunch of those wristbands printed at the local high school to punch up student morale over a big football game. I was looking at one, and just knew I had seen the basic band somewhere before.

I took it home and started digging around, and voila! It is the drive belt for a Hoover vacuum cleaner. Fits perfectly. When the students started discarding them, I picked them up. Milady has a box full of them to fit the vacuum cleaner. I'm probably fixed for life.

It's "Porsche", pronounced "Por-shé".

The difference is the amount of publicity they'll get and how much of a tax write off they'll get. That's the true measure of celebrity charity.

I like Paw Paw's idea.
I won't wear those things if you paid me. I'd rather spend the money actually BUYING the food and taking it to our local rescue mission. Oh wait, I do that any way and I don't need a stupid piece of plastic around my wrist to do it.

It is all about intentions. They intend to do good and we are just wrong to question these liberals. After all, they know best.

good post....I also liked your profile set up...very outspoken

But but... I'm doing good!

It's like Whoopiiiiie said "We really are good people..."

Hollywood and their ilk are drowinig in their own self-deluded interestedness, and the sooner they stop setting the example of how great they are (aka they all catch an elitest plague that wipes them and MTV out), the sooner I can become less concerned about fathering children in this world (if I'm ever that blessed).

Mr. Lion,

"It's "Porsche", pronounced "Por-shé"."

The way you've written it, it would be pronounced "Por-shay". I've never heard Porsche pronounced that way, only as "Por-shuh"...
