the MSM lied, people died

I finished reading South Park Conservatives today, just in time to see this article. My, my, my. I want to know whose nuts are going to swing from a flagpole for this incredible lack of ---well, CREDIBILITY.

The report sparked angry and violent protests across the Muslim world from Afghanistan, where 16 were killed and more than 100 injured, to Pakistan to Indonesia to Gaza. In the past week it was condemned in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Malaysia and by the Arab League. On Sunday, Afghan Muslim clerics threatened to call for a holy war against the United States.

My, my, my. Sixteen people dead, more than 100 injured and rumblings about a "holy war" over an article in a "respected" news publication that was absolute bullshit. What does Newsweek have to say about it? Pretty much nothing more than "oops!"

THIS SHIT is responsible journalism? No, it's not, and heads should roll over it.

Responsible journalism? In todays world this is an oxymoron from morons who claim to be journalists. The public has no way of knowing if reports are factual or is more bullshit from 'unnamed sources'. The events in the Islam world should be a warning to these anal orifices but odds are it will not phase them. After all, its the story that counts, not the truth.

Reminds me of teachers who are proud that they spend more time teaching Johnny self esteem than how to read and wonders why the public is upset about the public school system graduating illiterate but cocky teenagers.

The "Arab Street" rises up and riots, yet again, over bullshit. Happens every time someone "not Arab/Muslim (whatever happened to 'Moslem'?) " says anything remotely connected to the Religion of Pieces, even if he made it up on the spot and anyone listened at all to him. The MSM has more blood on its hands than this incident, due to its superb mastery of the art of fiction. It controls the attempt at "thinking" by both the *elite* of American "intellectuals" and, in its corresponding avatars in the Mideast blaring the "news" to the unwashed street-level Pampers-on-the-head-covering-tinfoil-hats-wearing illiterati. No wonder everything's in such a state of cluster-fuck. What a relief the Internet and particularly Bloggers have appeared to call Bullshit on the whole sorry lockstep.
Possibly in ten years' time journalism may be a respected profession once again, and the sheeple will no longer have to settle for growing wool over their eyes.

Nah, HM, you can bet your ass that those guys will NEVER restore themselves to respectability. (wait, they were respectable at one point in history?!?) They've seen that they are capable of subduing and directing the masses better than Pravda and Tass were back in the USSR's hayday, seen that they can actually influence the course of history (we may have stayed in Viet Nam longer and possibly won the war for the ROV if the media hadn't been reporting similar to what it's currently reporting in Iraq), and isn't going to give that kind of power up without a bloody fight.

Or, they could be ultimately phased out by this:

Newsweak is now backpedalling and blaming the anonymous source and some unnamed pentagon official which they claim to have shown the article.

The unnamed source isn't so sure any more and the pentagon source didn't deny that part of the story so "it's not our fault". Yeah, right.

Flush the Koran? Seems fair. We have flushed the Ten Commandments and the Bible too.

"We have flushed the Ten Commandments and the Bible too."

If only. Then halfthe stupid shit in this country would be permanently over.

Well seems like the "responsible"press has done it again. Newstweak, a once responsible magizine, has posted a story that has far reaching ramifications. Already there is 16 reported deaths and over 100 injurys BUT who can know how many more will result from this, due to the fact that the muslem world will not believe that Newstweak made a error.

The very idea that American interrogators would flush a Koran - why, that's simply inconceivable..

Come on. You know damn well they flushed it, spat on it, pissed on it, and shat on it. And you approve.

So far, no such shit has been confirmed, but it is possible that it happened. Would you rather we cut their heads off?
