i've eaten it

Yeah, I've eaten potted meat before. I've also opened cans of Alpo that both looked and smelled better.

I pretty much agree with this review.

(Thanks to Ron Fowler for the link!)

In the movie, Sling Blade, Billy Bob saw little peckers in his can of potted meat. I would not eat that shit either, Cat.

Don't remember that scene, Cat, but, then, I'm sure there were several scenes in that movie you saw more than me.

My old man used to take us out to fish all day with nothing but Saltines and sardines in mustard sauce. On those rare occasions he would buy potted meat I would eat the holy fucking hell out of it.

I agree with his review. I keep some on hand as a survival food. Hormel make a better product aka
Spam Spread. Better ingredients too.

I suspect the only things "potted" about that crap were the people who first made it. Unfortunately when they sobered up they both remembered the recipe and figured out how to market it.

Ambrosia! Armour makes the best. Great on crackers. The best is on white bread with Duke's mayo and olives. I have a can in my hand as we speak. Calories: 120 Fat Cal: 80. What's not to like?
