desperado

I was sorry to learn about this. Cowboy and country music writer Chris LeDoux died yesterday. Most people probably never heard of him, but I liked his music. He was 56 years old.

Happy trails, Chris.

I do too, Rob. It has a visceral honesty about it. Sadly, he never got enough airplay up here in this market, so even the folks who listen to CW music haven't heard enough of him.

Sad loss to us all when creative people die. Part of the beauty goes with them.

He was one of my favorites. Part of that reason is because his music is SO REAL. He will be missed.

well it is now one of the darkest days in country music just about the cowboy left has passed on to the great rodeo in the sky

Now that just sucks. I got turned on to LeDoux in college and he helped bring me back to listening to good country music, instead of that Top 40 crap I'd been listening to in high school.

I'll have to go dig up my tape of him tonight.

Boy thats depressing news. Ive listened to his music for thousands of miles going to and from rodeos when I was still a bareback rider. Its pretty much a soundtrack for everybody who actually rodeos. Ive seen Chris in Concert 8 or nine times and it was always a great show, He was the best performer I have ever seen in concert., and the first song I ever learned on guitar was "Seventeen". I will really miss his music. God bless Chris LeDoux.

That is such a bitch. i unplug from life for one lousy day, and one of my favorite country singers passes on. Chris will be really missed. I recomend y'all download "this cowboy's hat", one of his good ones. Damn, this sucks. God Bless Chris Ledoux!

Happy trails Chris, Enjoy them big, open, fenceless ranges in the sky.
