Gut Rumbles

February 04, 2005

I notice now that I seldom post an entry more than 150 words long. That's odd. I once wrote long, venting essays here and I could rant forever. I don't know why I changed, but I seldom do that anymore.

Maybe I just don't have the energy... or THE ANGER... that I once had.
My novel is going to be called "Tales From a Live Southern Ghost." I think it's pretty good.

I would tell you what it's about, but I expect you to buy the book. You ain't getting no freebie from me.

I've also started writing poems for children's books. I don't talk about it much anymore, but I really miss my son. I'm missing something that I can never recover. That fact bothers me. So, I started thinking about what I WOULD say to entertain him if he were around, and these silly poems started flying out of my head. I've probably got 35 or so now, and I write a few more every day.

They are FUNNY and I think kids will like them.

I may post a few over the next few days.

Now that's the best thing I've read all day. Who says you're all acid? I think underneath it all, you're a darn fine person.

Who knows? Maybe the next Dr. Seuss...

It beats dirty limericks any day...

You were vindicated again last night. Hannity & Colmes ran footage of the recent basketball game where blacks 'went African' AGAIN.

Neither H nor C said a thing about race, tho H questioned if it couldn't be called a 'riot.'

Heh, I can relate. My son is 730 miles from me for 50 weeks a year. At least your's is just across town. I hope your books turn out to be best sellers, I'll be in line for autographed copies.

As someone who writes nutty poems myself - not always for kids - I am very interested to see the Acidified take on poetry. Hoo-HAH.
