eat your heart out

The weather outside the Crackerbox is a balmy 75 degrees with a beautiful blue sky overhead. The gentle breeze out of the southwest is just enough to ripple the American flag on my front porch. I've been doing some yard work today and I was comfortable in a tee-shirt and shorts (no shoes). Oh, yes... I hate these harsh Southern winters.

I am Sooooooo sorry that we don't get a lot of this. BWHAHAHAHAAA!!!!!

Bite my frozen ass....

We've got 6-11 inches moving in as we speak. Bah! I'm moving south.

Having weather this warm in January is wrong. It's unnatural. Even in Sacramento, where it snows a HELL of a lot less often than here in west Georgia, it wouldn't be this warm in January.

We'd be socked in with permanent fog for weeks at a time, holding the temperature in the low to mid 30s. That was our version of a white Christmas when I was a kid.

.. no kidding... I went hunting on NEW YEAR'S DAY here in Tennessee, and it was 70 degrees... absolutely insane..

There's hardly any snow here in the Great White North, but it's plenty cold enough. Of course, Mother Nature is gearing up to slam me with snow this that Xmas is over.
