November 04, 2004seeing redIf you're a Democrat, I'll bet seeing all that red makes you feel blue. You should. Outside of urban population centers and a few leftist asylums in New England, you don't have a whole lot going for you. But that's not because you're not delivering the right message to the people. Oh, no. The message is BRILLIANT. Those morons in the hinterlands are just too stupid to understand it. Comments
If you liked this map, you might enjoy some electoral mapmanship: http://www.w-uh.com/posts/041104-electoral_mapmansh.html It turns out that despite everything that happened in the last four years, the country really didn't vote that differently. The mainstream media tried to spin everything to the left, but the country stayed in place. Posted by: Ole Eichhorn on November 4, 2004 01:04 PMOT: From Drudge Report today: "Elizabeth Edwards Has Breast Cancer" Hopefully, no doctor will take on her medical case for fear of law suits. How ironic would that be? Hehehe. Posted by: Vulgorilla on November 4, 2004 01:11 PMAs ecstatic as I am that Bush was re-elected and that we were spared 4-8 years of Kerry/Edwards, even I have to draw the line at wishing breast cancer and it's ensuing complications on anyone. Jackass. Posted by: Chablis on November 4, 2004 01:15 PMChablis, I agree with you. Jackass! Posted by: Sam on November 4, 2004 01:51 PMHey Stud Muffin, You may see red, but notice Seattle is blue. lol You know you love Capitol Hill. Im happy Bush won, as long as he doesnt take my sex toys away. What I do in my own bedroom is my privacy. xxxooooo Posted by: vadergrrrl on November 4, 2004 02:06 PMAn interesting comparison... In the 2000 election county map, there were 4 states that were 100% red and 4 states that were 100% blue. Nebraska, Wyoming, Utah, and Alaska were red, while Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Hawaii were all blue. In 2004 there were still 4 100% red states. Nebraska, Utah and Alaska stayed red while Oklahoma swapped places with Wyoming. (What happened up there in Jackson Hole?) However, there are now only three 100% blue states. That one western county of Connecticut went red. Refugees from NYC maybe? I know - useless information, but I find it interesting. Another interesting fact is that just like in 2000, if the electoral college votes were divided up by congressional district rather than by state, George Bush would have had a much larger electoral majority than he actually got. Roy Posted by: Roy on November 4, 2004 05:28 PMIt seems the moonbats tend to concentrate along the banks of the mighty Mississippi. Maybe if we could dam it up at the right places, we could get them to disperse into the rest of the country where they're more spread out and won't influence elections so much. Look at Illinois. Just a few blue counties and the state went blue. Thank God for the electoral college. Oh, and nice map. Where'd you get the photo :) Posted by: Evilwhiteguy on November 4, 2004 10:48 PMRoy, I was just looking at the same thing. It's interesting to see what went all one or the other, and how few those were. I'd love to see the mape with the states all purple, except the ones that were all red or blue, in proportion to how much red and blue they showed. Whether by color or population. Posted by: Jay Solo on November 5, 2004 12:40 AMVulgorilla, it's suckwads like you that give Republicans a bad name and Democrats more of a reason to spew hate-filled lies about Conservatives. I never want to be associated with the likes of you. Posted by: girl on November 5, 2004 01:32 AMThat third blue spot up the California coast is my town..........and it burns my muffins. If they split the county in half,north/south, the north would be red. They want a split up there, and I'm saying....Please don't leave me with these tinfoil hat wearing, cool-ade drinking moonbatitailia........aarrgg. Girl: Vulgorilla does have a point, and a good one, even though I don't wish breast cancer on anyone. There are now hundreds, if not thousands, of women who don't have easy access to OB/GYN's due to John Edward's courtroom antics, namely using junk science to wring huge settlements from doctors who did no wrong. These doctors have either moved to other fields of practice, or are making their living doing something that doesn't require $250,000 insurance premiums each year. The irony would be if doctors refused to treat her for fear of being sued by her lawsuit happy husband....and I wouldn't blame them a bit. Posted by: Bob on November 5, 2004 06:51 AMDon't wish cancer on anybody. This is only politics,we are ALL americans.
