stop whining

John Kerry has some serious credibility problems and I don't believe that his "duck, cover and complain" strategy is working well to deal with them. I also believe that the swift boat veterans for truth raise some legitimate points. Instead of DEALING with those issues, Kerry and his operatives prefer to whine, try to censor the ads and call the Swifties operatives for the Bush campaign.

What are you trying to hide, John?

Nobody questions the fact that you were in Vietnam. (Bejus knows YOU have built a career out of two tours of duty less than five months there.) People DO question the fact that you were so highly decorated in such a short period of time and they also remember the way you showed your ass with Jane Fonda, abetted the enemy in time of war and behaved like a traitor when you got back home.

Okay, you WEREN'T in Cambodia for Christmas, even though that day is seared in your memory, and you DIDN'T toss your medals over the White House fence even though you said you did, and you WON'T release all of your military records.

What are you trying to hide, John?

Bill Clinton got away with lying like a sack of shit for eight years. Maybe all Democrats expect such a free pass now. Kerry appears shocked that he's not getting one. I suspect that he'll be equally shocked in November when he loses the election. But it's his own damed fault.

He should quit whining.

Of course, Kerry will lose. That's the plan to make room for Hilary in '08

I'm Beth Taylor and I approve of this message.

I won't vote for Bush. I may not vote for Kerry either because:

My party, the party of my ancestors, my family, the party of Lincoln and Liberty has transmogrified into the party of hairy-backed swamp developers and corporate shills, faith-based economists, fundamentalist bullies with Bibles, Christians of convenience, freelance racists, misanthropic frat boys, shrieking midgets of AM radio, tax cheats, nihilists in golf pants, brownshirts in pinstripes, sweatshop tycoons, hacks, fakirs, aggressive dorks, Lamborghini libertarians, people who believe Neil Armstrong’s moonwalk was filmed in Roswell, New Mexico, little honkers out to diminish the rest of us, Newt’s evil spawn and their Etch-A-Sketch president, a dull and rigid man suspicious of the free flow of information and of secular institutions, whose philosophy is a jumble of badly sutured body parts trying to walk. Republicans: The No.1 reason the rest of the world thinks we’re deaf, dumb and dangerous.

Hey Beth,

You don't vote, you can't bitch.

You become part of the problem.

Posted by: Sam on August 31, 2004 01:58 PM

Sam is right, vote for someone that is your duty. A lot of people died to give you that right.

I think one of the reasons Clinton *got away with* lying is he had the personal magnatism most good bs artists have, which allows them to do so. ( Allright he was charismatic) Kerry is not even close to having this. I didn't care for Clinton's actions while in office, and though I think he has any number of charactor flaws, I could see having a beer with him. I would just as soon throw a beer at Kerry as look at him.

I disagree; it's no duty to vote, if you've looked at the choices and can't stomach approving of any of them. (I also disagree with most of Beth's rant, but that's another matter.)

Acidman: Clinton had the advantage of being smooth, and, when lying, at least doing so competently and with forethought and care. Kerry comes off more as an arrogant incompetent who didn't even realise anyone would notice of care. Clinton would have been ready, or even taking pre-emptive action.

Clinton was a professional; a real politician.

I agree, Clinton is a smooth professional lying sack of shit.

Let me put it this way...if you have two choices on anything, and you can't decide...knowing a decision must be can't complain about the outcome.

You are not on any team, so to speak.

You don't vote, you can't bitch.

Victicrats must sit up at night cursing the internet.

The net broke the liberal stranglehold on information and linked "lone islands" of conservativism and LP'ers.

Clinton might not have won in '92 if the net was as good then as it is today.

Sam is right in my book.

You don't vote, you can't bitch.

Simple enough, eh?

Posted by: Gina on August 31, 2004 04:51 PM

Clinton lied about having sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky.

Bush lied and people died.

If I don't vote, I can bitch about not having a real choice Neither of these candidates deserve my vote.

As Acidman pointed out, for Miss America we get 50 choices. Why not more than two dubious dunces for president?

Posted by: Beth on August 31, 2004 05:03 PM

Hey Beth,

WTF does a fake beauty contest have to do with the 2004 Presidential election? Get in the game.

I don't want to clog up Acidman's comments with bullshit he didn't start. I just put one up about how I really feel about non-voters.

Come on in, the water is fine.

Posted by: Sam on August 31, 2004 06:57 PM

I'm in the no-vote=no-bitch camp too, but I do admire a good rant. Bravo!

Posted by: jim on August 31, 2004 09:16 PM

You may not want to vote FOR something, but you can make a choice to vote AGAINST something. Just vote ,there are still millions of people in this world dying for the chance to.

Posted by: big al on September 1, 2004 03:08 AM

Kerry is Algore without the charm and personality.

Beth, you've taken the kool aid on the BLPD meme. Do some homework or please don't vote.

Posted by: Larry on September 1, 2004 10:14 AM

Beth, what lies did President Bush tell? What people died? I'm really interested. And if you think Sept. 11th was bad, wait until the rest of the bill is due for Cliton's incompetence.

Posted by: matterson on September 2, 2004 09:22 PM

Bush DIDNT lie? wow... so there WERE wmd's in Iraq? there WAS a connection to Sept. 11th in Iraq? the Republicans DIDN'T stop Clinton from going after Bin Laden to instead go to Somalia? huh... i guess gravity pushes and rain is dry to
