northern exposure

I've never been a big fan of commercial television shows, but Northern Exposure hooked me. I believe that it was the combination of good acting, well-written scripts and my desire to visit Alaska that sucked me in. I think I've seen every episode of that show at least twice and I would watch them all again tomorrow if I had the opportunity.

But I agree with this guy. Joel was an absolute pussy.

I would have shagged Maggie the first chance I got.

We both hate "Friends" and love N.E.
See? We have some shit in common.

Hell, man.. I'd STILL shag her...... she was the total package.... and, as much as I enjoyed Joel's performances, he was still a dickweed of the highest caliber... Maggie was fit to be TIED, Acidman... TIED, I tell ya....

I'll be damned, MD. Maybe you and I COULD carry on a lucid conversation if we stuck to the right subjects.

There were so many great moments on that show...

Ed & Ruth Anne dancing on the mountaintop as a celebration of life.
Maurice standing on his roof playing the bagpipes, silhouetted against the setting sun.
The wondrous moment as Chris turned on his "light" sculpture to the music of Enya.
Holling when he went into spring rut.
Ned Svenbourg telling the story of Cicely and Roslyn.
Eve recreating a bottle of Chateau Petrus out of a cheaper wine & kitchen odds & ends well enough to fool Adam and Maurice at Maurice's banquet.
and many more...

The only down side to the show (other than Anthony Edward's unnecessary character) was that set in the 'Alaskan Riviera', you saw Maggie in flannel rather than Maggie in a bikini.

Damn, now I gotta go dig out all my old NO videotapes.

Ah! Maggie. Thanks for the reminder. Best, Terry
