good bloggers

I am amazed at the number of people starting new blogs today that are VERY GOOD at what they do. Take this guy for example. He's had over 5,000 hits in eight days of blogging. FUCK!!! I needed six months to generate that many hits when I started. What can I say? He's good.

This could be a good blog if she stops trying to write what people want to read and writes the way she really is. The best advice I can give to a new blogger is "just write!" Be yourself. If you build it, they will come. I don't believe that you really have to market your blog to gain a loyal readership.

I feel no jealousy seeing newbie bloggers get a lot of traffic right off the bat when I labored so long in darkness on my site in the beginning. I believe that the kind of interaction happening in blogdom today is a WONDERFUL thing. I hope that I helped and encouraged the two people that I linked above to get where they are today.

This blog-tramp has sneaked down the back alleys and jumped a few fences to sire a number of blog-children now. They were all sired by a mutt, but they make me proud when I read what they write. I'm going to put a special category on my blogroll for them.

This is one of my daughters and this guy is one of my sons. I am one proud pappy.

They are all damn good bloggers.

Shit, I'm all 'mbarassed now. Talk about COINCIDENCE, Rob, I just linked Baldilock's post on that cuntspinach travesty, just before I came here to visit.

And, just thanked Donnie as I'm thanking you here, now.

Glad you kicked me in the ass, Rob. I really am. And the meter keeps spinning, too. Up a lot, but I'll stay humble best I can, here.

I learned from your blog though, more than anywhere else. Take that to the bank, it's gospel.

Again, thanks to you, and every single one who visits.

Key, I saved this comment for you, alone.

Hugs, kisses and thanks for the FINAL PUSH that put me over the edge. You know the e mails you sent. I'll say no more, but you made me believe that I COULD.

That's priceless, and will be forever appreciated. Thank you.

Never mind "dad". I know your blog rawks.

And Acidman,
You just described me the way that I describe Democrats.

They are so busy catering to their perception of popular opinion that they have lost their ability to think independently, if they ever had it.

I'm nostalgic over my youth.
I'm angry at government, while hopeful that psuedo-reparation is not out of the question.
I'm a hopeless romantic.
I like kids and animals.
I am repulsed by non-thinkers and "people clones" with no depth.
I have no solid writing style.
You do. If you didn't, I couldn't have copied it.

I do "just write."
I don't bow to the tall dogs. I think that annoys some people, but I've never been one to follow protocol.
I openly admit to being a rebel.

I have not and will not market my blog. I blogged about that.

I do visit other sites, and share an encouraging word for those using their brain.

That's it. That's my agenda. Appreciate it or don't. That's what I offer.

" Could be a good blog ?"

That's real nice. A better choice of words would have been it is a good blog, maybe not what you see as an excellent blog, seeing as she doesn't write about boo-hoo shit every other day. Give her a year before she gets cynical like the rest of some of us.

There's nothing like trying to get someone to quit before they even get started. Just because you don't mind criticism or bad mouthing doesn't mean it's not hurtful to others.

And about not trying to be being popular - that's funny, you just clapped for the other blog child for getting SO many hits so soon.

You make me so mad sometimes.
Maybe not mad, but pretty much peeved.

"You make me so mad sometimes"

Good. I'm doing what I set out to do every day.
