Gut Rumbles

July 22, 2006

I'm not sure how many people still check in here but I'm going to post anyway.

To everyone that has sent me e-mails:

Yahoo will not let me reply to any but I have read each and every one of them. It still amazes me how much people thought of my dad. I miss him so much.

I have some good photos of dad I'm going to post within the next couple of days.

I'm also planning to start blogging again. I'll post a link when I get it set up.

Thank you Jim so much! You know what for.

Have a good weekend everybody.

Sam...lookin forward to it. All the best....

Hell, he's still getting 1800 hits a day, Honey... *grin*

And, those asshats at Google have "unbanned" him, too...

Good to hear from you and lookin' forward to seeing the pictures.

We miss him, too, though I can't pretend anywhere near as much.

I think that as long as this site is around there will be those of us who continue to check it.

Take care, Sam.

Sam, I still check in every day. I am glad that you will be posting. Your Dad could make me laugh, make me mad, but he always made me think. He is missed.
I hope you and Stacey are well. If you are able, could you also give us an update on Quinton?
Take care!

Well, this has been my starting place for the last few years, so i reckon as long as it remains up, this is where i'll keep starting. I start at the top of Robs blog roll and read all the way down.

Wishing brightest blessings on You, Stacey, Quinton, Mommie and Dave.

I still show up everyday. I miss him and figure stranger things have happened so maybe one day I will click and there will be something here.

I am glad you are well and I look forward to your return to blogging.

Hi Sam, I check in all the time, sometimes reading archives, other times just checking notes and finding a treasure, like the TV interview on Elllisons. I am grateful that you and Your Dad friends are so thoughtful and pray you are all doing well...
I'm excited to hear you'll be blogging again, you have writers blood in your veins,. Bless you & yours.

It would be a pity to lose everything on this site. Some if it is truly timeless. I check every couple of days to see what's new. All 3 of my computers have this site in the bookmark toolbar. I can't bring myself to remove it from there.

Posted by: Groverat on July 22, 2006 12:32 PM

I still check in daily as well. As someone else said.....force of habit. I read archives now and watch for anything new to show up.
Thanks for keeping us updated. Looking forward to the pics.
My thoughts and prayers remain with you and the rest of he family.
I agree tha an update on Quinton would be nice. Do the two of you remain in contact?

Posted by: Dawn on July 22, 2006 01:39 PM

Same here, Sam. Check in every couple of days hoping for any word, bout any thing.

Guess Dad wasn't the only one 'round here with an addiction.

Ditto on the Quinton request.

Always, Maggie

Welcome back!! It was nice to open the blog and find a new post. Thanks for satisfying our 'hunger' for news...I must say it was pleasant to see an addition to the blog.

I hope you are well. You are still in my thoughts.

'Looking forward to the pics!! I still miss your dad and am happy for your continued interest in his 'fans' and friends.

I still check in here regularly. I'm not sure why. I have really enjoyed Rob's writing over the years and I guess I'm not ready to let go yet.

Sam, he was a very gifted man. I miss him and I've never even met him.

Posted by: Brian on July 24, 2006 08:56 PM

Sam .. I check in every couple of days or so, mostly to re-visit the community Rob helped build. I second other's sentiments re you re-starting a b-log and, nowhere near as eloquently, wish you and yours the very best. DJS

I drop in and read the archives. Those last few weeks of writing he seemed to celebrate everything that came to his mind....

I can't help but wonder what his garden looks like now, with everything dormant and overgrown like a late season harvest does. I hope any tomatoes left on the vine will sprout seeds next spring in his garden.
