November 11, 2005The Right to Flap Our Gums
For those of Rob's readers who don't know what Code Pink is, trust me; most of you will be in full rant mode when you find out who they are. Here's a clue to their agenda. To be fair, Code Pink's display had an unexpected effect on me: I felt sorry for them and I don't feel the need to mock them. Tomorrow I will post some of the photos I took of the display--both here and at my site--along with some commentary, of course. In the meantime, pray for our troops, their families and for the success of their present mission. Comments
Go get 'em Juliette! Thanks for doing this. And for your service. Posted by: caltechgirl on November 12, 2005 02:46 AM.. thanks, Juliette... for this post and your service.... Posted by: Eric on November 12, 2005 09:24 AMHere is what John Stewart Mill has to say about those who are willing to fight for nothing: "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
