Gut Rumbles

holy cow!

I believe I saw more good football games this Saturday than I have ever seen in my life. GOOD teams, playing GOOD games, all of which went down to the final play in the last seconds of the game.

I've been a football fan since I was a boy and I cannot recall EVER seeing so many good games in one day. Of course, it helps that my beloved Jawja Bulldogs won handily, but I was glued to the TV all day.

Is it just me, or is Vanderbilt coach Bobby Johnson a dead ringer for Steve Martin?

Dummy, that WAS Steve Martin!

Not only that, but if you Google image search the words "Bobby Johnson Vanderbilt," and you go to the second page, you even come up with a photo of Steve Martin.

I know!

I grew up in Louisiana (cbs-fla@lsu)), live in Houston (abc-Colorado@Texas), I like Notre Dame (nbc-USC@ND) and I am a major Astros fan (game 3 Fox-Cards@Astros) .

I had all these games on yesterday at once. It was great!

God...USC-ND was amazing...one of the best football games I have ever watched.

I agree about USC-ND. I just wish ND had won. Instant classic!

No way I believe USC could play a SEC schedule and be unbeaten. Or play Texas.

Maybe it's just (previously undiscovered) loyalty to my old alma mater, but I thought the WVU/Louisville game was a great game, myself. (Especially the part of the game that I watched, as I missed the first 17 points.)
