quote of the day

You have reality, where bad things happen no matter how hard good people work to stop it, and then you have POLITICS, where you don't find many good people at all. Incompetent crooks calling other incompetent crooks "incompetent crooks" is beginning to piss me off.

In the aftermath of Katrina, fingers are flying. Strangely, the vast majority of them are liberal fingers and they're pointing at Bush. Why? Because the best defense is a great offense, of course. Any fool knows that. Anyone rational enough to look at the facts, though, will reach the obvious conclusion: the democrat's stranglehold on the New Orleans political system for the past 100 years fucked the very people they rely on for votes.

Wanna know the sad part? The idiots fucked by their government will elect the same incompetent crooks in the next election. They've been programmed that way.

These cretins remind me of the entertaining show I always got by sitting next to my chicken coop on the mini-farm. A hen, minding her own business and pecking shit, suddenly gets pounced on by one of my roosters. He plows her into the ground, fucks the hell out of her for about five seconds, then crows when he's finished.

The hen stands up, looks stunned for a minute, as if thinking "WTF was THAT?" then goes right back to pecking shit again. If that's not the mentality of a Democrat voter, I don't know what is.

Fucked regularly, but you never remember it when it's over.

God help me, I'm agreeing with JB. The same could be said for the Bush voters who aren't making six figures a year.

Almost all politicians of both major parties are screwing the working man senseless. I think it's time to clean house and throw all the bums out.

Rob

I loved your use of the word "cretins"
That's one not heard often, but you fit it in nicely.

jb makes no sence and would send in a pinch hitter for Ted Williams because Ted failed 59% of the time at the plate.

I lived in Lousiana for a couple of years. The first fraud I encountered was the claim that the people were "friendly." They smiled a lot, but I experienced no hospitality.

The second thing I learned was that one could trust almost no one in matters of money.

The third thing I learned was that everyone expected the government to provide from the cradle to the grave, despite the fact that most of the provision ended up in the pockets of the governing classes.

I believe Louisiana has the government they deserve. I was not at all surprised when the state and local officials started blaming the feds for every setback after Katrina struck, confident the press would cover for them because they were mostly Democrats..

Handing billions to these politicians is foolish. Nagin and Blanco, had they any honor, would resign immediately. Oh, I forgot: Democratic politicians don't resign. They'll retire, so long as they have a taxpayer funded sinecure in academentia.

What the hell are we rebuilding for anyhow?

These people have insurance or what?

Where the fuck is the insurance money?

Strangely enough hurricane insurance usually will not pay flor flood damage. Now if the roof blows off the house and the rain runins the walls and carpets it will pay. But if the house survives the wind but is flooded by a tidal wave or a nevee breaking that is another claim against flood insurance. And I doubt that many had flood insurnace in NO because it is EXPENSIVE!

It seems that Republican voters have the same mentality. Look at what they have elected in the past 100 years or so. If both parties are full of fucking dumbasses, how is one better than the other? I think the democrats and republicans all need to be dragged off and shot. We need a new party where stupidity, lying and thievery is not a requirement for membership.

Brett. - There are different parts of La. and N.O. is unlike any place else. I think it may be fair to call the evacuees from N.O., refugees. Because N.O. is as close to another country that we have in the USA. Don't compare all Louisianian's to New Orleanians. We are a lot different.

The sad part is that because of it's high population N.O. rules state politics. That's why you have idiots and crooks like Blanco, Mary Landrieu and Bill Jefferson in office. Blano may be the stupidest person ever to hold elective office and I mean dumb as a post.

BTW-Louisiana does not have a single Republican in a state elected office. Gov, Lt. Gov, Sec State, Treasurer, Atty General all are Dems.

I live just outside of Baton Rouge and we've got at least a 100,000 new residents some who won't ever go back. Unfortunately, many of the ones that will stay are going to be the non-producers. If that happens I'm moving away.

Fuck that. If people aren't insured it's their own friggin problem. The right wall of Ivan tore through my neighborhood and I saw what you mentioned - how the insurers will try to call it flood damage rather than the obvious wind damage.

Solution, get the flood coverage too. It is what it is. If these people are living under sea level, they ought to have enough enough friggin sense to cover themselves rather than mail me the tab after the fact.

I'm just sick of footing evryone elses bill while I do it the right way. Some asshole hit my car last year with no insurance. He walks away scott free while I have to eat my deductible.

Fuckin' bullshit. That's just my rant, nothing personal intended.
