vertigo

Do YOU ever stand up and start getting brown-outs in your vision? Do you get dizzy and require something to hang onto to keep from falling down? Do your ears burn hot and your feet feel numb? Does it take about 30 seconds to a full minute for one of those spells to pass?

Good. That never happens to ME, either.

Comments

It happens to me all the time. Inner ear thing and pharmaceutically suppressed circulation.

Taking a vitamin B complex every day helps a lot though.

I believe it's called an orthostatic pressure difference. Your body's mechanism for evening out your blood pressure as you change positions gets slower over the years. That's what's going on, your blood pressure hasn't caught up with your new position.

Or, you're turning blonde.

I get it sometimes, if I haven't eaten enough, or if my blood sugar is way down. In ADDITION to my positional vertigo. Big fun.

It/s called orthostatic hypotension. Common among kids and early teens. Serious if it happens to people our age.

A way of life when I was a teenager. I didn't eat well and drank huge amounts of Coke (maybe all that caffeine). May or may not have to do with shit... Just sayin' .. make sure you're eating well (should you, or anyone, experience such a thing).

Every weekend. Usually right after the tequila comes out to play.

No, not me. Only lasts about 10 seconds. Geez, Rob, you only got 2 years on me. Is this what I have to look forward to?

Only after huffing paint.

Only after having sex and at my age that isn't very often.

I get them occasionally. Not every time I stadn up or sit down... Sometimes it's 30 seconds to a minute, but the only time I ever fell down from it I put my face through a plate-glass table. My nose will never look the same again...

I have seizures, they jump up and whack you upside the head, then I wonder why I'm laying on the floor. Nose dives, been there. Dislocated shoulders and all.Murry

Yeah, me too, Rob. Just one of the advantages of middle age, I guess. When I was young, I had to put down a six-pack to get the same effect.
