Gut Rumbles

May 15, 2005

I had an association with two genuine redheads in my life and they both had fair skin and lots of freckles. Both of those wimmen thought their freckles were unsightly and did their best to disguise them up with make-up whenever they could. I never understood that.

I LIKED their freckles. That fair skin was a handicap, because they toasted quickly in the summer sun of Southeast Georgia, and then they peeled like a molting snake if they didn't wear a lot of sun-screen. That part of dating a redhead could be a pain if you like the outdoors as much as I do, but both of 'em endeavored to peresevere. Besides, I liked rubbing the lotion all over them.

I have one piece of advice for fair-skinned wimmen, especially redheads. Freckles are nothing to be ashamed of. A lot of guys think they are sexy.

I do.

AMEN!!! to that. What more needs to be said?

i'm a true irish redhead, and i'd never even think of covering my freckles up.

As a lover of redheads, I'll second that...

Covering up my freckles is more work than its worth. Its fun I've gone from burning and just going back to being pale, but now I have freckles. I have color, yay!! :)

Yes, I have them and I'm proud of them. One turned out to be basal cell cancer a few years ago, so wear a hat and lot's of SPF 30+. I also like the "endeavored to peresevere" and thought about Chief Dan George when he was so disapointed in himself trying to sneak up on Clint. Great drama.

As a natural redhead, I want to thank you! Its nice to know some people find redheads and freckles attractive. I have been picked on for being pale my entire life. Even a few days ago, my neighbor told me I needed to go to the beach. "Why is that?" I asked, "I don't tan I just burn." I wanted to cuss her out! SPF 50 is my bestest friend.

I should add, the best thing about freckles, is trying to lick them off.

You should try playing "connect the dots" with your tongue.

Redheads should have more fun!

OK, 14 posts and nobody's aired my favorite thing about freckles - looking at the exposed ones and thinking about how far down (or up) they go. Am I the only one with any imagination?

Anyone who doesn't think redheads, and thereby freckles, aren't the sexiest combination on Earth, well, there's just something wrong with them! Redheads and freckles go hand in hand and the most wonderful women I've ever known have both. You guys can have the blondes and brunettes, give me a redhead any day of the week and twice on Sunday!

I have redhair and freckles. I am an unusual one I guess... because as long as I put on an SPF 15 I don't burn, and I can't remember the last time I peeled and I live in Florida! Maybe my brown eyes have something to do with it, and although I am white I am not pale. I never really liked them much... love my red hair though... but like my grandmother said: "skin without freckles is like a sky without stars." Plus my husband loves them, so what more do I need!
