Gut Rumbles

April 17, 2005

Tell me that my daughter can't paint. Samantha has always had skills and abilities that she never used. That fact always chapped my ass.

Maybe I pushed her too hard.

(If that link doesn't work, just hit "refresh." Blogger is a funny host anymore.)

Glad you're happier and that you had a great time at your do.

Your daughter CAN paint. She needs to do more of it. She captured her doggie perfectly. It doesn't matter that it may have a left-leaning focus; when you do portraits you need to get the inside of the subject. Boy, she has. She's quite awesomely good.
And, I speak from experience because I paint watercolors, have been in juried shows, actually sold shit and won prizes. (Just giving credentials.) Thanks for not banning me the other night.

Another thing we have in common - artistic daughters. I left Sam a compliment and words of encouragement. I'm glad to hear that you are in better form except for the taxman.

I saw this shortly after she posted it. She did a great job! She really has some talent! You should be one proud Dad!

Sam MUST cultivate this talent. It can make her a living after she tires of dumpster-diving.

Glad you feel better, A-Man.
