What really is wrong with these kinds of suites is that the guilty parties are never punished. These suites simple transfer money from investors to lawyers.

How can an inanimate entity like a corporation engage in wrong doing? Individuals employed by the company engaged in wrong doing. PUNISH THE PERPETRATORS!

If people at Philip Morris (or more likely comfortably retired ex-executives) were prosectuted for these actions, then you might see justice done. But, there is no interest in justice. It is all about money.

For example, if Philip Morris targeted youths in their ads, why not prosecute individuals in the ad agency for their advertisements?

The current approach is exactly the kind of approach advocated by Nazis accused of war crimes. Don't blame me. I was just following orders. Blame the organization.

Racketeering! RACKEFUCKINGTEERING? What was that, some kind of RICO bullshit?

Ain't any of those folks ever watched C-SPAN, and while zoning out from the bloviations of our rulers, cast a gaze at the internal decorations of the House and Senate chambers?

News Flash! The capitals on those columns are not carved to resemble acanthus leaves, but TOBACCO leaves!
