usual suspects

Via on the patio.

85- 13

That is not a sports score! That is the result of the Senate vote that confirmed Condoleezza Rice as secretary of state. 85 to 13. Barbara Boxer, Ted Kennedy, Joe Biden, John Kerry of Massachusetts, Carl Levin of Michigan, Tom Harkin of Iowa, Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey, Evan Bayh of Indiana, Daniel Akaka of Hawaii and Richard Durbin of Illinois, Sen. Mark Dayton, D-Minn., Robert C. Byrd of West Virginia, Jack Reed of Rhode Island. 13.

Think about those 13 the next time you have a chance to vote. Pure political whores, each and every one. Is THAT the kind of person you really want serving in your Senate? Do you think they give a lovely fuck about YOU? Do you think they give a lovely fuck about THIS COUNTRY?

Grow up. They care about themselves. That's all.

Hmmm, Billary is conspicuous by her absence. Or, did she vote aye?

It wasn't Biden - he actually voted for her. The other one was Jeffords, the Turncoat from VT.

Billary voted aye. My question is how many Black Donks are on that list......

Evan Bayh is an embarasment to Indiana today. He's one of those "Golden" children of a past senator, who's only claim to the office is his pedigree. The fools in Indiana who continue to vote for him because he's an attrractive man with an attractive wife and two attractive children deserve what they get. Sadly, the rest of us have to deal with him because of them.

My little old mom looked at the vote last night and stated "He's going to run in '08 and he thinks this will help him." I think she's probably right. God help us.

There are NO black Donks on the list.

As for Acidman's question, "Is THAT the kind of person you really want serving in your Senate?" I would say the answer is YES considering the population areas those folks represent (with the exception of Byrd. He's just a fucking bigot.)

I couldn't help but notice that one of my senators, Frank Night-of-the-Living-Dead Lautenberg is one of the naysayers. Sickening.

I'm surprised Fienstein (the other half of the gruesome twosome) wasn't on that shameful list !

There's only one black Donk in the Senate, Danebramage -- that new guy from Illinois whose name, according to Ted Kennedy, is Osama Alabama.

Robert, Feinstein spoke out in favor of confirming Rice in the same hearings where Boxer went apeshit against her.

Just curious - what is your belief that they're political whores based upon? That they voted along party lines? If so, what then would you call ALL of the Republicans that voted FOR her?

I'm just askin.....

No CG...

Considering that most of the nay'ers are from politically protected democratic strongholds it really isn't surprising they voted that way. Dayton may have an opponent in '06 because he's demonstratably not playing with a full deck but the others will not. Byrd may retire and no one will run against him anyway. His name is on EVERY project in WV from years of pork. Even if he is an ex-Grand Kleagle with documented racist statements no one will shove him over the side because of his seniority. All of them are leftist fringe elements of the remains of the Democratic party, even Bayh. Please note that *13* out of 44 is NOT "along party lines". A minority within the minority, dunno what to call that. Oh yeah, "political whores", willing to stand out like a turd in the punchbowl because they 'can' get away with it.
