Let me interject a thought: what pissed people off was the interrracial component of the spot. If it had been Jason Sehorn she was jumping over it would have garnered a big laugh. But a naked Nicollette Sheridan jumping on a black man incensed a lot of people in ways they don't even understand.

Just saying.

Christ, I gave up on all pro sports (save hockey) 10 years ago.

It's all about the gangsta ego and appealing to the lowest common demoninator these days. Long ago it it became less about the sport and more about the marketing. Shit, I am a dirty capitalist pig, but I can only stomache so much in the way of 'hard sell'.

The only way the action could have been in any acceptable to someone like me (prudish and damn proud of it, thankyouverymuch) would be if you substituted Dom DeLouise for Nicole.

Now THAT would have been funny.

To all who were offended: Then don't watch ABC or Monday Night Football anymore. Put your money where your mouth is.

What I don't want is Michael Powell telling me that what I saw was porn or disgusting or even inappropriate. That's MY decision as a consumer.

Oh, and to those of you that were offended, haven't you ever seen a game on the tube before? You see a lot more T & A when they zoom in on the cheerleader's Bouncing Betty's.....

Oh, guess I missed some skinny, plastic boob skank jumping into some over paid black guys arms. Hmmm sounds like real life to me.

I actually liked the spot. It was a spoof on the show Desperate Housewives (which is much racier than the spot) and it was shown to be just a show even in the spot. LOL. I guess nobody else stayed to see the ending.

So....lemme get this straight.....Saving Private Ryan to offensive to show....However,...trash for Desperate Housewives is okay? Who are these idiots!!!
