These people understood oppression and the need for freedom from federal encroachment. I say nix the fed from ANYTHING that doesn’t have to do with protecting the individual states. 1. acidman links to a vitriolic website condeming the south.

2. from my history i know that neil young made disparaging remarks about the south a long time ago...remarks that were immortalized in the song "sweet home alabama" by lynrd skynrd. therefore i thought it might be funny to suggest neil young wrote the piece that acidman linked to. these are the kinds of things one thinks are funny at 3:30am. i figure people would make the connection immediately and chuckle. apparently noone made the connection...my bad.

3. brett jumps in with unrelated information about how neil young isnt even american which i assume means young couldnt have written and posted to that website. i decide to pretend that young is, in fact, from america and grew up in a place called greendale which is fictitious and is the title of his latest cd which is a vicious screed against all things americana. NOW i figure everyone will make the connection and the chuckles will begin. no one makes the connection....my bad again.

4. nate jumps in and helpfully reminds everyone that young isnt american and greendale is fictitous and he does so in caps which drives the point home with predictive force.
