November 07, 2004i see a patternI've been to two blog-meets and read numerous accounts of others elsewhere in the country. They all go a lot like this. I can't imagine a blog-meet being one of those quiet, coffee-house whisper-fests that beatnicks did in the late 50s. No, I see more of a controlled riot, with lots of alcohol, cigarette smoke, off-key singing and maybe a pair of panties whirling around on the ceiling fan. And if the next day you remember everything that happened, you didn't drink enough. Comments
I have to admit, if there was any lingerie flying anywhere, I missed it. We definitely have a good time, but still have a ways to go to live down, errr -- up, to your standards. Far as I know, nobody got painted, just plastered. Cheers! I'll change some of your misconceptions 'bout folks from the Northeast... Posted by: Jay G on November 8, 2004 03:07 PMI am a Georgia blogger; I very much want to come to the next blogmeet and hook up with you guys. When and where, y'all? Posted by: queenie on November 8, 2004 05:56 PMShit. I just ran Helen, GA through Mapquest. It's only 1,000 miles from here. I may come down on the Harley...
