November 02, 2004prognosticationI'll be interested to see how well this guy did on his predictions about the outcome of today's election. I certainly hope his magic eight-ball works. So, here are MY predictions: Bush will defeat Kerry by a margin much larger than the polls suggest. Bush will win the popular vote, too. Tom Daschle will lose. Johnny Isakson will stomp Denise Majette and Georgia's US Senators will both be Republicans. Florida goes handily to Bush. We know who is President before Thanksgiving, unlike 2000. Comments
Why did you delete your post about Sugar Momma? I guess you got your ass handed to you. I don't blame her, you can be so insensitive. Posted by: Alaska Kim on November 2, 2004 01:43 PMFrom your lips to God's ears, my dear. I'm not a religious woman...but I lit a candle this morning. Partially in hope that Bush will win...but more in hope that we don't endure another month long delay in an official decision. Posted by: Chablis on November 2, 2004 02:06 PMKerry may be pinning his hopes on provisional ballots in Ohio, but he must have flunked basic arithmetic if he really believes that. And it looks like my Senate predictions were just slightly on the low side, but I won't complain. I did overestimate gains in the U.S. House, but my conservatism re the state House makes up for it, by my lights. And I think the likely Dem contenders for governor in '06 have gone down by at least one thanks to this outcome. I'm predicting here that Cathy Cox will seek re-election to her present job rather than take on Sonny. Mark Taylor's got nothing to lose by running for Governor, so I think it'll be Baldy vs. Fatso in November '06, and Sonny gets a second term.
