lint-heads
If you don't know what that term means, go read this. It's a beautiful post that tugs at my heartstrings.
The only difference between a lint-head and a coal miner is the color of what's in his hair at the end of a working day.
Makes me wonder , how did we screw this country up so bad, considering what our ancestors went through. I
We let the "Ivory Towers" start preaching to us, even against our common sense, because "THEY" had "credentials".
I would add one other difference between a lint head and a coal miner other the color of the residue in their hair. The color of the sputum that came from their lungs. It was a hard life for sure but many wouldn't have traded it for anything else. It was a family tradition in a lot of families.
