August 23, 2004wall's drug storeWhile Recondo and I were making our way out of South Dakota, we saw all the signs. They popped up about every 100 yards, the way the ads for Chico's Monkey Farm once did on old Highway 17. As nearly as I could figure, Wall's has it ALL. You want fresh, home-made ice cream? They've got it. You want genuine western wear? They've got it. You need biker leather? They've got it. You want to pet a goat or mount a giraffe? They've got it. You want antiques? They've got 'em. The place is just outside of the Badlands and we didn't stop because we were trying to put Sturgis as far behind us as we could at the time. this woman emailed me and said that we shouldn't miss the place, but we did. I may go back and see it next summer. It must really be something. Comments
