the camel in the tent

Has the government EVER started a program, no matter how well-intentioned they claimed it to be, that didn't eventually become a weapon used to invade private lives and usurp personal liberty? Why is anyone surprised by this story?

I especially like the reactions from certain congresscritters about the government snooping operations. Hey, you blithering dumbfucks! YOU voted for it. Now, you're aghast about what your vote really meant? Gimme a break.

These assholes really should know better, but they don't, and a lot of the self-aggrandizing bastards spend a lot of their time pumping the bellows that fire the engine of government as it slowly but surely makes the Constitution a joke.

Watch how THEY react when the government starts investigating them.

Comments

Most of the intrusive bills are written by the Dems and signed into law by the Dems because they want the government to do everything for them. But watch them howl once they've had their privacy invaded. What'll they do? Blindly elect another "freedom fighter" to take away more of our civil liberties. The supreme court is stacked with liberals that don't give a whit about the constitution and uphold laws written that bypass the constitution. Lawyers and judges have been given far too much power without any means of restraint.

Adding insult to injury, when the gummint has actual suspects in their sights, what do they do about it? NOTHING.
They don't want to be accused of 'racism' when the suspect is an alleged Chinese spy or Arab illgal.
Those in gummint better toughen up against unfounded PC bullshi and start hunting down Long Wang and Abdul.

But we know they won't.

Lefty lIberalism is the camel in the tent and now it's our freedom outside in the sand, scratching its head about how it all happened.

I am trying to find the source of the story of the camel's nose which is used as an analogy in opinions and legal argument -
sort of a give them an inch and they take a mile story.
