monday musings

* Do you remember your first orgasm? I do. A friend taught me to masturbate. My eyes went to shit after that.

* Are you pleased that you lost your virginity to the person you did, or would you go back and change it if you could?

* What is the nastiest food you ever tasted?

* Is $100 a lot of money to you in your present circumstances?

* Did you ever get laid just for the fun of it with a perfect stranger?

* Did you cry at the end of Saving Private Ryan?

Thanks to a bottle of Jack Daniels, I lost my virginity to a knucklehead baseball player..don't regret it too much though, had to happen sometime...only regret having the song by Alabama playing in the background, "You can't keep a good man down"..that kind of tarnishes it for me....haha..
I cried w/Private Ryan and almost threw my bowl of popcorn at the tv when that kid was getting his neck sliced....

Posted by: sandy on February 9, 2004 04:54 PM

#1 No, but I've needed glasses since I turned 10.....

#2 I wouldn't change the person, but I wish I could change the aftermath. I treated this poor girl shamefully.

#3 Tamale Pie made by the Ex YUCH!!!

#4 Right now, a $100. tab might as well be a $100,000. tab;for all my ability to pay one ever said life was fair, did they?[unless they were a Democrat!]

#5YES!!! [would probably do it again, too;IF I was single!]

#6 Never saw it. so I can't say. Would "Ol' Yeller" count?

Posted by: delftsman3 on February 9, 2004 04:57 PM

1) Yes.
2) Meh. I probably wouldn't change a thing. It was my first seduction.
3) Bad oysters on the half shell.
4) $100.00 is a hell of a lot of money for me right now.
5) Yep. And I'd do it again in a heartbeat, if I were single.
6) Bawled my eyes out like a baby, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Posted by: Raging Dave on February 9, 2004 05:27 PM

1) Absolutely.
2) No change desired, even if possible.
3) Rabbit stew my stepdad make from a rabbit he made me help kill, clean and cook. Yuck.
4) Yes
5) No, but not because I'm too holy to do so, it was the 7th grade videos with close-up photos of genital warts that scared me straight and continue to do so.
6) Have not seen Saving Private Ryan because I don't like war movies. Most of the ones I have seen end up pissing me off because I don't think one should take dramatic license with horrific events that actually happen to real people. I used to love movies, but not so much anymore.

1. Anyone who says they don't is full of it.
2. Yup. Sweet 16 and a classic 'vette, it doesn't get get much better.
3. Something I've still yet to identify, in Thailand.
4. Not especially. Theatre ticket, bottle of scotch, etc.
5. Yup, but I do have "perfect stranger" standards.
6. Repeatedly.

Posted by: Mr. Lion on February 9, 2004 06:25 PM

1. Yep.
2. Yes and No.
3. Fucking sweet potatos.
4. Yes. Even if I were Bill Gates It'd be a lot.
Grow up like I did and $25 is a lot of money.
5. More times than I care to admit.
6. No

Posted by: Lobowalk on February 9, 2004 07:44 PM

Yes, dumb question
Something from a side walk cafe in Naples Italy
Yes,but not in 20 years
Wasn't a perfect stranger
Can't remember

Posted by: ken on February 9, 2004 08:21 PM

1. Don't remember my first but I don't see so well, either.
2. I'd have changed it but I'm glad I lost it when I did.
3. Peanut butter (anaphylactic shock will do that to you)
4. It's not a lot of money but it's not "chump change" either.
5. Yes, more than a few times.
6. Yes. It made my contribution to society seem even more insignificant.

Posted by: Ralph Gizzip on February 9, 2004 08:37 PM

#1 Yep, on the floor of my basement thinking about Jamie D in 7th grade. Addiction soon followed.

#2 Yeah, she was hot as hell and I gave her the best 20 seconds of her life.

#3 Undercooked elk (or some other horned animal from out west) meat at a friend's hunting club Game Dinner. Tasted like puke that resulted from a night of swilling copious Yukon Jack on an empty stomach. I blew the first bite mixed with some Mil. Best beer all over the table.

#4 No.

#5 More times than I can count. I worked at a club/bar as a bouncer when I was in college. It was like shooting fish in a barrel.

#6 No, but I did have a big lump in my throat. Does that count?

Posted by: rightisright on February 9, 2004 08:41 PM

yes. no
there's food that's nasty?
what lobo said
nobody's perfect

Posted by: Larry on February 9, 2004 10:07 PM

re ryan: vets who were there say the depiction of the normandy landing is as accurate as possible in a movie. i cried the first 20 minutes, too.

Posted by: Larry on February 9, 2004 10:10 PM

I didn't have orgasms when I was 9, but I remember how cool it was when those started.

I would definitely change it, or at least put fewer years between losing it and getting another shot.

Can't think of the nastiest offhand.

$100? Still sort of a lot, but not a lot. Borderline. Waiting for my client to pay me $8000 they owe and becoming near-broke makes it a lot at the moment.

Nope! How sad.

Posted by: Jay Solo on February 10, 2004 10:10 AM

1- No, too many to remember since.
2-Not really, ended up in the dispensary next Monday getting 2 shots of penicillin. Yeah, it was fun but would have preferred to skip the shots.
3- Green beef in Saudi Arabia's Port Juhbail, Christmass eve 1990.
4- It shouldnt be any more, but once a cheap bastard always a cheap bastard.
5- See 2 above.
6- Yes, and at the end of Schindler's List (the little red dress got me too.)

Worst food = broccoli. Screw the vegetarians.

Posted by: Jim on February 10, 2004 09:58 PM

1. Yep. It was solo and it was great.

2. Yep. I was a gentle lover.

3. Potato Salad.

4. Nope. It's chump-change.

5. Yep. Funny, I can't remember her name.

6. Nope. Saving Private Ryan was a great movie, up 'till the end. I kind of expected that humanist bullshit out of Spielberg. "Am I a good man?" Puh-lease. What would have bee great is if the guy said something like, "t still hurts, but it was important. What we did here was important." The current ending leaves one with the impression that WWII didn't make sense or wasn't worth the cost. It did, and it was.
