The poet in me

I like allegories. I've put them in almost every post I wrote since yesterday. I wonder if anyone will notice?

Nah... probably not. The people ciphering my blog don't know what an allegory is anyway.

Comments

An allegory is a political statement that makes no sense in either structural syntax or common sense.

See - some of us do know....

I had to look it up.

al·le·go·ry
1 : the expression by means of symbolic fictional figures and actions of truths or generalizations about human existence; also : an instance (as in a story or painting) of such expression
2 : a symbolic representation

You dare to insult us? Look man, we're your only audience. You'll damn well take what you can get.

Forget allegory. I looked up "sipher."

Ok it's the thing with the teeth in Florida, right?

I didn't know what you called it, but I did notice you were using them. :)

Sho' now. The booing post represents your ecumenical distaste for the Episcopal Church, and the Prince of Wale's role as the Vicar of the Anglican Communion.
The southern accent post validates your beliefs concerning knowledge versus learning, and ignorance versus stupidity.
And the marination post? Hell, I think you were just fucking with Denny.

I prefer narrative drama to allegory. Shakespeare speaks to me; Spenser is merely interesting.

Using in a sentence: Since the fall of Sadam's regime, we are getting allegory details of the torture, rape and executions perpetrated by Uday and Qusay.
