peanut butter and ritz crackers

If there's a better quick snack in the world, I don't know what it is. The boys like it, too, with a glass of milk.

I use Peter Pan peanut butter. I remember reading in Consumer Reports years ago that Peter Pan scored really high in insect parts and rodent dung when it was tested against other brands. Maybe that's what makes it taste so good.

The boys don't mind the bug-parts and rat-shit. Neither do I. It tastes damn good on a Ritz.

Comments

Wm. F. Buckley and some of his friends years ago declared in print that Red Wing made the best peanut butter. Red Wing made house brands for various chains. Perhaps they are still around, and perhaps it's still true, who knows.

lol...They say everything tastes better on a Ritz. You should do a commercial. Or start a contest...

Fuck peanut butter. That stuff is baby-shit death to me. The best thing on a Ritz is insanely sharp cheddar cheese.

I'm partial to Jif myself. Don't remember if I ever tried Peter Pan. Used to eat Skippy, but it has no flavor and tastes like salt by comparison.

Cheddar is always good too! This is why I answered "cheese!" to the question of cheese or chocolate (if you had to give up one and only have the other).

Peanut butter on a Nilla Wafer. My Mommaw's favorite and mine too!

Wasn't one of The Muppets named Ritzo Rat?
Nevermind, it was Rizzo.
Anyway...nothing better than PB on a Ritz.
I liked "Adam's Peanut Butter"..nothing like opening that big plastic tub and seeing all that peanut oil that separated, longing to be remixed in the lovely mash below it.

Peanut butter is great for hiccups. Works all the time.

Our dog Sam, hates cats, loves peanut butter.

peanut butter is my second love, cheese first please! I was raised on this shit called "Teddy Peanut butter" When I grew up, um moved out, I went to Peter Pan. I can't find it where I live now so I settle for Jiff.

A friend of mine was a grain tester. He'd climb up on the train cars carrying grain and take samples. Then he'd analyze the sample for the amount of insect parts. All --- all samples had insects, it was just a matter of how much. Besides insects are a good source of vitamin B.

Oreos, a banana and a glass of milk. Snack of the Gods.

MY daddy taught me about Ritz & PB... we used to watch "The Honeymooners" reruns around 12:30 and eat Ritz & PB crackers.

Life was simple then.

the brand don't matter though... PB is PB. I'll eat the store brand or the expensive shit.... as long as it's on Ritz, it's good.

Funny to see the bit on Red Wing Peanut butter... I went to school in Fredonia, New York (south of Buffalo, damn near PA) where Red Wing is made. Strangely, they made two things there- peanut butter and ketchup... On PB days, the whole town smelled great... on ketchup days, it smelled like the Downtown Seoul subway (that's very bad).

Anyhow- you nailed it...the best snack going is Redwing on Ritz with milk (chocolate milk if it's breakfast time.)
Enjoy!
