We make it like that ALL the time. I hate microwaved popcorn. UGH. Thanks for the link. :-) I make this almost everyday. It's cheap, filling, and healthy, the perfect food... I didn't realize how much I was missing it until that first handful. I think I could safely sell my microwave and not ever miss it now LOL. The curved bottom distributes the heat better, and concentrates the unpopped kernels back down into the hot oil. I rarely get any "old maids" doing it that way.
