Again!

Bush has always seemed like an idiot to me. I NEVER got the impression that he went to war a a last resort as he's claimed. He said he pulled the inspectors out of Iraq because he became convinced they wouldn't find anything. How right he was. Nothing was there to find. But I am getting off topic.

Bush is essentially an idiot. THAT'S why his staff keeps him closely under wraps. THAT'S why he doesn't hold many press conferences. THAT'S why he usually only attends carefully scripted events where all the people are supporters. They're not going to ask any hard questions. They'll just cheer as Bush rolls off the sentences that his staff and speech writers prepared for him.

So even though he was coached for days, Bush was COMPLETELY unprepared to handle a 90 minute debate with Kerry.

And Bush's visibly petulant angry little boy demeanor should have been no real surprised. Bush was not accustomed to being challenged on anything. And he was not emotionally or intellectually prepared to deal with it. That "performance" showed a great deal about his character. It showed an emotionally immature man who can't handle being challenged on anything. That's not the kind of emotional make-up I want in a Prez.

The WORLD finally got to see what Bush is like when he has to stand on his own two feet in a forum that his aides and staff can't control. Dick Cheney wasn't there to help him.

Bush's performance reminded me of his one-on-one interview with Tim Russert early this year. Except this time, Bush did not have the luxury of sitting down in the comfortable surroundings of the oval office with no audience present.

Bush is in WAY over his head. And people finally got a chance to see how ill-prepared for the office of President, Bush really is.

Personally, I would have felt sorry for him if it wasn't for the fact that he's done SO much damage to this country in his short time in office.

The sooner he's gone, the better off our country will be.

I think I know what "A" stands for. Asshole.

Or you can look at it another way. The looming debate was going to be a time of great pressure for both men. At a predetermined time, there would be MILLIONS of people listening to every word they said. In many ways, it was a make or break moment. Both men's careers and ambitions were on the line.

I'll put it in a parlance I'm sure you'll understand. Win the game, and you get to fuck the head cheerleader after the party. Lose the game, and you sit alone in the back of the team bus.

That's pressure, right?

Kerry rose to the challenge. He was confident and in command of his facts and figures. And even though Bush should have had the confidence of the incumbency behind him, he folded early and never recovered.

Kerry is the man who appears to hold up well under pressure. Bush is not.

It's very reminicent of Bush in the classroom on 9-11 and his subsequent cross-country flight, isn't it? Don't you remember how rattled Bush looked on his first public broadcast from that military bunker in the midwest? By then, he already had at least a couple of hours to pull himselft together. But he looked and sounded completely rattled. Thankfully, NYC had Rudi Gulliani to pick up the slack.

Bush does NOT inspire confidence in me with either his emotional temperment or his intellectual ability.

I repeat. "A" must be for asshole.

I watched the debates on NBC, because we don't have cable and that's the least objectionable of the big three. Afterward, they were spinning on both sides, but they did take a couple of minutes and trot out the Truth Squad, which showed the numbers that Kerry was using on spending were bogus. That surprised me. They also showed that Bush's figures for Iraqis trained to take over were off, but explained that many had been fired in the last couple of days and that was the difference. I was amazed that a network would break ranks with the Dems and point out an obvious error. Mr. A, you are so wrong. Acidman is right about you.

I would respond to you on point, but Acidman emailed me to tell me to stay off his blog.

I guess it's OK for me to read what everyone else writes. I just shouldn't respond. So much for freedom of speech.

But I will say this. If we can just get rid of the first amendment, then the 2nd Amendment would get top billing. That might be worth firing a few shots into the air.

Please explain me how the hell Acidman telling you to stop posting violates your 1st Amendment rights. Acidman isn't the Goddamned government. He pays for and owns this blog. It's his property, and he can do anything he wants with it, which includes telling asstastic morons such as yourself to stop filling his bandwidth with the type of digital pollution that comes from "www.democraticunderground.com"
