Gut Rumbles

I know I promised I would post some pictures but they are so large that I can't seem to upload them. Livey sent them to me and I suppose she took them when she visited Savannah. Thanks again for all of those, Livey, even though it did take me 2 hours to download them from the e-mail with my slow dial-up!

I received my DVD of dad's interview in the mail today. WOW! Elisson did an excellent job of putting the interview and a wonderful slideshow together. Stacey boohooed though the whole thing. Thank you so much! That will be something I treasure forever. Dad was blessed with some great friends.

Wichie Dude wrote a nice post. I'm still finding new posts from bloggers I had no idea even existed that thought a lot of my dad.

I can't reply to any e-mails and I get so many, so e-mails can be sent to ~ savanahsam at aol dot com ~ (everyone tells me to type e-mails addresses out like this to avoid spam)

I am so glad Ellison gave you that keepsake to treasure.
My thoughts and prayers remain with you.
Take your time with the picture thing....
There is not rush...
It was very good to hear from you again.

Oh shit, did I send them to you after I enlarged them for Mommie? I'm sorry honey. I can resize them and send them again, but since you have dial up it's probably easier to take Chablis up on her offer.
Thinking of you.

Sam, Dial up is a nightmare when it comes to these things, Thank-you for your patience and determination. It isn't hard to re size (I don't think, but yet I don't know how to tell you to do it.)...
I hope sometime down the road you can find some inexpensive DSL in your area, I have bellsouth and it's a little more then I expected to be paying but I'm spoiled now...

Sam, if you don't already have it installed, go to microsoft.com (assuming you are using windows, if not just ignore my ass) and search for Windows Powertoys. Download the "Image Resizer Powertoy" which is an extremely small download. After installing, you may have to reboot, but you can right click the saved pictures in Windows Explorer and tell windows to resize them to whatever resolution that you want. I have photoshop and really suck at using it, for something this simple, that is one of the best tools that I have ever found.

Great to hear from you Sam - looking forward to seeing the photos at some point. Elisson brought me a copy of your dad's interview when he was up here in my city a few weeks back; it was incredible to watch the whole thing on the television, instead of in bits on the computer.
