i have a question

What is the difference between a blithering idiot and a shining genius?

Tell me. A lot of people don't seem to know anymore.

Blithering idiots have all the answers. Shining genius' just behold and wonder. Didn't Einstein have something to say about this very question?

If you have to ask, you're a blithering idiot.

Sorry, Rob, you set yourself up for that one!

Which one I agree with of course!

The genius is the one who sees things your way.

It depends on your point of view...

Close, Bonita, but not quite right. The difference between insanity and genius is very small. Both types see things that ordinary people don't.

Is it possible to be a blithering genius?

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.

A genius is an intelligent or talented person that is popular. The idiot has none of that.

I don't know but somehow I manage to hit both ends of that spectrum on a daily basis.

The biggest problem is that the idiot is the one that usually wins the election...

I'm going to second Chablis' answer -- though I have to point out, from my observations while a member of Mensa, that most geniuses are blithering idiots.

Jim, that was his old card.... Now it reads:

Wile E. Coyote, Super Genius

But we are forgetting the final version:

8-) I spent FAR too much of my time as a yoot watching Looney Tunes!
