war of the worlds
Have you seen the remake-movie The War of the Worlds? It's playing on one of my cable channels now and I made the mistake of watching it this morning. Gawd! That's a real stinker. But it did confirm something I've suspected for a while.
Tom Cruise needs to be dragged off and shot.
I couldn't get past the first couple of minutes of it and figured it sucked..
Well yea, tom cruise needs to get shot, but why drag the war of the worlds into it?
I am partial to MY FAIR LADY, Rex Harrison was a sexy pig....
The anti-gun messages in the movie were also quit annoying, though not that unexpected.
Absolutely NOTHING in that movie except for the special effects is in any way even CLOSE to being as good as the 1953 version.
They even left the best scene OFF SCREEN fer godssakes! (Which is, of course, Tim Robbins being beaten to death).

I'm sure they're saving that for the Director's Cut DVD -- which will go for $250, owing to the demand for that one scene.
