i still ain't right

I'm still sick. Not like I WAS--- because I'm not barfing every half-hour and I'm not running hallucination-generating fevers anymore--- but I still ain't right. I keep having these semi-relapses, where I start to sweat, feel queasy, develop a curl-into-a-fetal-position stomach ache and think I'm starting to get sick all over again.

But the symptoms go away if I drink some milk and chew on a couple of antacid tablets. That's GOOD, because I feel better. But that's BAD, because I'm afraid that my got-dam ulcer is back.

Whatever this crap is, it's lasted for a week now. It's not as SEVERE as it was, but it damn sure hasn't gone away. And I've lost even MORE weight as a result. Before this malady struck, I appeared gaunt. Now, I look downright emaciated. My shoulders still hurt like hell, too.

Just damn!

Comments

Additionally, if you are taking ibuprofen, such as Motrin, Aleve (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory), or even aspirin regularly for your shoulders, that can be potentially deadly in a person with peptic ulcer disease without a prophylactic ulcer medication to protect your tummy.

Call your doctors or an ER nurse and find out, but rest assured I am right about this.

P.S. I hope you feel better. Please call your surgeon, GI doc or PCP, even if it's off hours.

I had some prescription Pepcid, but that's all gone now.

Can you get to the store? Go get some OTC Prilosec. It's in a purple box by the antacids in the grocery store or at the pharmacy. It's just as good as the RX stuff. Otherwise, you chance another bleeding ulcer and/or perforation. No bueno, my friend, as I am sure you know.

I've been reading this CRAP for going on 2 years now. Jesus, there are moments of clarity and wit, but not any more. What the fuck is wrong with you? Cancer? Mom dying? Divorce? I can't wait for the next installment of your self absorbed bullshit. Karma Kracker.

Rob...85 to 90 percent of peptic ulcers are caused by a nasty little bacteria...that's right...bacteria. It's called Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). It was discovered by a doctor from Austrailia about 10 years ago. Check out the following site: http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/hpylori/
Four to six weeks on two different antibiotics...and you're cured. No joke. Check it out. Thank me later....LOL.
