gimme them teefus

In the idiotic War on (some) Drugs, government frequently abuses property forfeiture laws. Horror stories about people losing their cars, large sums of cash or other possessions while never even being charged with a crime are common, proof that if you give government awesome power, government will abuse that power.

But this is ridiculous. Got-dam! Taking your car or your home is bad enough, but we oughta draw the line at letting government pull your teeth.

That's a bit much, even for government.

Lawyers are our friends, so I'm certain they told the two guys they had the right to remain silent while they pulled their grills. :(

Rob, I think those "grills" are actually removable teeth...

Uncle Sam surely won't get into the dentistry biz...

I don't think this tells the whole story - more to it? May seem ridiculous on the surface.

Grills are actually snap on overlays of gold, diamonds, platinum, ect. Think of them like really shiny braces-retainer hybrid. A link to said grills....

Some on here are 8k or more for a set. Now you see why they are taking them?

I think it's kind of amusing...:)

Buncha Got-Dam crack dealers. I think yarding those damn teeth out with a cold chisel and a claw hammer, (no anesthesia ) is a fine idea. Then take 'em fifty miles out in the desert and shoot the miserable sumbitches in the knees. They can walk home from there, yo.

I've been following this story. There are two kinds of grillz, removal and permanent. These guys had permanent ones and one of the guys had his installed years before, while he was in the Navy. Drug money didn't buy that gold.

The feds tried to pull a fast one. They're not even allowed to take the guys out of custody the way they were trying to do it. This is what the forfeiture laws have done to our country. The cops have become addicted to the free money.
