Gut Rumbles

Does this pistol target make my ass look fat me look like a racist? Bejus.

Here's my Quote of the Day:

"It never was a big issue or a big debate," said Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy, whose agency switched to blue silhouette targets from black ones two years ago. "Nowadays, you can never be too sensitive, and we felt that it was the right direction to go."

Nope, you can NEVER be too sensitive anymore. I think we should get rid of red stop signs, too, because they send a subliminal racist message that is degrading to Native Americans. What about those yellow lines on the highway? Or having the President live in a building called "The White House?"

Racism is EVERYWHERE!!!!

(thanks to Maggie for the link!)

Amazes me that people have nothing better in life to do that to try to imagine what some other people might possibly be offended by some time, some place, some how.

Crap, nothing would ever get done...there's always some whacko somewhere that will object to something...ESPECIALLY IF THEY CAN TAKE YOU TO COURT AND GET MOOLA FOR BEING "HURT" EMOTIONALLY.

Great. Now they're encouraging violence against Smurfs and Libertarian Party political candidates from Montana.

Does that mean we have to start color-coordinating our clothing with the targets if we go to a shooting range?

As someone who was born in the US, I find your use of the term "Native American" insulting.

In related news, the spokesman for "Blue Man Group" has said all performances in the state of Florida have been cancelled until further notice....

Kind of like shooting democrats...could be onto something here....

Heh, I'll have to specify to the gunney at the local range that I'm gonna need 'blue' targets from now on. I'm betting he'll fall out when I tell him why tommorow.

Aw, it's like that everywhere. Back in the 1980's the official police qualification target for the State of Louisiana is the green P-1 target. Green silhouette on buff paper.

We're in good shape if we are ever invaded by green people.

Just when I think I've seen "political correctness" carried out as far as anyone could imagine, something like this comes along and reminds me that we need a SERIOUS amount of chlorine poured into our gene pool.

Hell, the DPS in Texas switched about 20 years ago for the same exact stated reason: They didn't want to be perceived as rascist.
There is a tremendous move to get folks, even the army, to shoot at non-humanoid shaped targets. We hear it in nearly every state. It's just the anti-Second Amendment folks trying to make trouble, IMHO.
